If you were responsible for building a completely new Disney World hotel, what would you design? Theme? Location? Price category? I am interested to see all of the wonderful ideas the Disboards fandom can brainstorm.

Deluxe, near HS themed like ToT except no broken elevator. I love the whole 30s glamour theme there and would gladly pay deluxe price for it. Bell services dressed line the CMs at ToT, restaurant with that old look with waitstaff in white jackets, an actual bell on the check in desk.

This was my suggestion as well.

Would probably have to make another tier for this hotel, though. While Deluxe is quite nice (from what I hear), I'd probably want it to be the peak of Deluxe services. Four Seasons the heck out of this hotel. With an old Hollywood glamour and bell boys, dressed as well, dapper bell boys, I think it'd be such a wonderful and refreshing look into how life lived back then. And the CM's could walk, talk, and just plain act like it was the 1930s. Probably the 1920s, though, since the 1930s wasn't that great for America what with the Great Depression and all. Live lavishly at the ToT-themed hotel!

I also like the idea of a "super deluxe" hotel near Hollywood Studios with a Tower of Terror Theme -- something dark and mysterious. It would have to be pretty special since it wouldn't be on the monorail or near Magic Kingdom.

I assume Disney has gotten tons of letters from diehard fans like us about this idea, I wonder what their thoughts on the whole idea is. If I were in charge of new Disney Hotel, I would do a moderate or deluxe dedicated to US (world cities?). One building is New York, Chicago, DC, etc. Dunno where I would put it or if y'all would like this idea.

hollywood tower hotel.
near HS of course.
moderate
but that is not really an original idea as many people wish it would happen.

something original from my own head would be ...
christmas themed.
not sure of location
value resort.

IMO, there are plenty of deluxe and DVC properties. WDW could use another moderate resort.

I'd love an upscale Pixie Hollows theme with lush walking gardens and fairy themed special rooms (like CBR's pirate rooms and POR Royal rooms). The main pool would feature a waterfall and the kiddie pool would have pipe spray fountains that looked like dew running off leaves and flowers. Tinkerbell and friends statues and art would be "hidden" all around the resort.

Alternately, to match the travel destination themes of the other resorts, I wouldn't mind seeing a European theme. The sections around the resort could be Paris, Barcelona, and Rome and the architecture would reflect each country. This resort would feature different eateries, including a patisserie, a tapas bar with flamenco music in the evenings, and a 21 & over wine bar.

Funny I was just talking about this with DW. Our thoughts were that it should be a fantasyland theme. It could like like a castle of some sort and have like a Cinderella/Sleeping beauty wing (very European castle like), a Pinocchio wing (Bavarian inspired) and a maybe a Hunchback of Notre Dame (gothic look).

It would have to be Moderate or Deluxe to support the level of theme required.

I don't see a new Disney hotel coming any time in the near future but I would like to see them build a Marvel themed hotel. Since they can't have the characters in the parks because of the contract with Universal building a resort where you can meet and dine with the Marvel characters would be cool. I think making it the same level as AoA, a value but with suites, would be the way to go.

Beyond that I always thought some of the originally planned hotels for the MK area would have been cool to see built, the Persian, Venetian, or Asian.

I like the idea of a space themed one that wouldn't just only star wars.

I like that idea too. I always thought Mission:SPACE should have been a large space themed pavilion in the mold of The Land. Have a thrill ride (the current ride) but also have a slow dark ride that was an updated version of Horizons and either a restaurant or museum about space travel.

I'll never be able to afford a Deluxe, so it has to be a Moderate, around epcot or the studios, something CBR like layout, not sure of the theme but there will be rapid fill stations by all the villages, and a covered but opened aired people mover that works like an elevator, you push a button and your chariot arrives, holds 10 peeps each car, you tell it what village you want to go to or if you want to goto Epcot or HS and it takes you there with International Gateway drop off at Epcot and Near the water taxi drop off for HS. If you want to go to magic kingdom your chariot takes you to the main gate of epcot where you can monorail it over :)

Animal Kingdom, you get a bus because, well, I'm not made out of money here, can't make this resort TOO expensive

I'm shocked that no one has proposed the obvious...a Frozen themed resort with ice cottages :)
