New Disney Visa Pin--40% Off Select Hotels

We saved about $400 more than we had with AAA room discount. WL woods view room 1/10/10-1/15/10 (5 nights).

Definitely call and ask--other resorts are available.

We are booked at the Contemporary Concierge MK view. I called to see if it could be applied and it was available at the Contemporary but not for concierge AND MK view. I could take concierge in a standard room or MK view without concierge.

Now I can't decide what to do!!!!!

I had the same problem as you! Had booked CR MK view Club level. Ended up switching it to standard view club level. However I also grabbed a tower theme park view (non club) Now I have to decide which to keep!!

CR MK view Atrium club with AAA $1105 (canceled)
CR Standard(Bay Lake view) - 40% $729
CR Tower theme park view -40% $594

I thought there was already a general public code for very similar rates. I think I saw they were offering AKL for $145 or $149. Maybe the dates were slightly difference? I'm interested because I was considering getting the card for next year, but won't if they are going to offer public discounts anyway. :confused3

Well, I called and asked about the Poly. After tax, the rate I was given was 246.37 per night.

I just got a pin code for 30% off value, 35% of moderate and 40% select deluxe hotes, Good for most dates 1/3/2010 thru 6/12/2010...(there were a few blacked out)

We just went in June, are going back in Dec.....dont know if I can convince my hubby we need to go again so soon!!!

I can use this pin to book until 2/28/2010 so we have sometime to decide!!

I just got the same Email/pin! OMG - I really want to go back, but since DH isn't a disney fan :confused3 I am going to have to think really hard how to justify another trip! Too bad the pin doesn't extend into June as my kids don't get out of school till the 12Th . What to do :lmao:!!!

We were already planning a trip 5/22 - 5/30 of 2010 but received the pin code Friday so now we are staying club level at AKL.:yay:

First time at AKL and can't wait.

We are booked at POFQ from 1/31 - 2/7. I have the 4/3 deal now with the basic DDP and tickets for 8 days for 3 of us (my son is 16). Would the 40% off be a better deal??

(Tired from writing final papers....cannot handle fuzzy Dismath!!!)

I did not run the numbers on your exact situation but wanted to say that others have posted on this board that the 4/3 deal gives you a 43% discount on the rooms for mod and deluxe, as well as a small savings (something like $9) per ticket. So if the room only codes are 40% off I guess it wouldn't really be a savings?:confused3 Just passing on what I read.

EXCEPT!!!
IF you are booked for more than 7 nights it might be a better deal to go with the 40% since you are paying rack rate for 1 night extra. It figured out to be a better deal to use the 40% for 9 nights. It really depends on the prices of your nights (because of holidays or weekend rates).

That is a good point! :thumbsup2 I am booked for exactly 7 nights so it works a little better for me.

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to post about this offer. I never received the e-mail, but, thanks to you, I was able to change my AAA rate to the Disney Visa rate!!

That is exactly what happened to me :) We are staying 9 nights at the French Quarter :cloud9: and it comes out to be cheaper doing the 35% off pin code room rate as opposed to the 4/3 deal :goodvibes I almost fell over when the CM told me the price :yay: With 9 nights at the French Quarter and two 9 day park hopper tickets, it was $3 cheaper than just the rack rate room only price :rotfl2: Now if Southwest fares will just come down we will be all set

Can I use this discount if I dont currently have the rewards card? What if I sign up now? I have a trip planned in Jan with the platinum plan, so the buy 4 get 3 does not apply to that. But I think this 40 percent off will. I have already placed the deposit on a regular credit card. Please help me out. Thanks

You would probably have to apply, get approval and then pay a deposit with the Disney Visa to be able to use it now. I know my DD & DSIL (who have fabulous credit) applied and it took a few days for her to receive an answer. It may be because she applied on a Sunday, but I was surprised she didn't get an immediate approval.

You could also book a second reservation at 40% off for the extra night and they'll note that the two are together so you'll not have to check out/check in or anything like that for the last day. Plus, the dining plan is good until midnight "at the date of checkout", which would carry into the extra day until midnight. Thus, the only thing that wouldn't be covered in the dining plan is breakfast the last day.

I would have said no, but I called up and asked if I could a different card for the deposit and was told no problem, even after the agent checked with guest services. Also, it occurred to me after I hung up that I was never even asked for proof that I have a Disney Visa card. And, I've never even used one at or with Disney before. Thus, it seems like anyone can use this promo. (Note: I DO have a Disney Visa card, so perhaps they verified it through some other means. I'm still surprised they let me use a different card for the deposit though.)

I got this code in my email--yeah!!! But then realized it was for Doris--who is that I don't know. Some person is using my email, but not my name so I can't get this pin code--ugh!

I don't think that the 40% will apply to you. I also have a trip planned for Jan. with the premium plan. I have a Disney Visa card and called to apply the 40% discount to the room part of my reservation and the CM said he couldn't do it. He said that I would have to cancel my reservation and rebook room only to get the 40% off. He said that I could then add the regular or deluxe dining plan but I couldn't add the premium plan.
