New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

I have the basic Disney card and am interested in the Inspire if I am eligible for the extra $600 total sign up bonus. Is there anyway to confirm eligibility before applying for the card? I did not get an email- that I can find anyways. Do I apply off the website or would I need to email Chase for a unique link since I already have a card?
if you are not eligible for the bonus Chase will send you a notice in your account, usually the day after you apply, telling you that you aren’t eligible for the bonus and give you a number to call if you want to proceed with the application anyways.

Thank you! Do I need to apply somewhere specific through my account or just the regular link? I dont have that much experience applying for cards and want to be sure I dont mess it up :)

I'm trying to convince my parents to also get the Inspire card. They buy their tickets through the military base. Do we have any idea if this would create the $100 credit back on tickets? I know it says directly through Disney or Disney run platforms.

What can I charge to the room folio? (this is for DL btw not WDW) I read quick service doesn't count, which is a bummer since that's most of our dining.

I went to see if we could cancel and rebook the the hotel since there was a ton of availability last week, but now almost everything is gone.
If you do mobile order for quick service it wouldn't count as it charges right away to your card on file, but if you ordered at the restaurant with a castmember and used your magicband to charge it to the room I think it would count.

You can just find the card on the Chase or Disney Visa Rewards website and apply there!

So I googled and AI said this. I have never tried this barcode thing. Maybe the DLR threads would have more info on if it works or not

You can charge purchases to your room at participating merchandise and food & beverage locations within the Disneyland Resort, including table service restaurants and retail shops. To do this, you need to link your hotel reservation in the Disneyland app and use the "Charge to Hotel Room" option for transactions.

  2. Access Charge to Room: Go to the "My Hotel Reservation" section in the app and select "Charge to Hotel Room" to generate a barcode.
  3. Present the Barcode: Show the barcode at participating locations for scanning.

Important Notes

  • Room key cards are no longer accepted for charging; the app is required.
  • Mobile orders for food cannot be charged to the room.
This system makes it convenient for guests to enjoy their stay without needing to carry cash or cards while exploring the resort.
That’s so funny you searched for this. I got so tired of opening the app I ended up screenshotting it and making it my wallpaper lol.

I also noticed that my AP monthy charge did not work to ring the bell for the $100 ticket credit. I have 5 APs we pay for so its over $400 a month on the FL resident monthly pay plan and it posted as a subscription.

That’s probably how they’re coded. I’m assuming they are going by the category “Bills & Utilities” but it could be the merchant type “Continuity/subscription merchants”

Do you know if in the future if you buy a multi day ticket if they would let you upgrade it to an AP with the 12 month payments instead of paying for the entire thing?

I'm not sure, but we renew them every year so the price is difference is slightly discounted so I don't think the buying the ticket and upgrading would work in this case. I pay for my son's girlfriend's AP too and hers renews on a different date than ours so I pay for hers in full when it renews so that should capture the ticket bonus since it's not being financed, just have to wait until august to find out.

I'd guess they are paying MWR then and not Disney directly- but it's been years since I've been eligible to purchase through the military base. If the payment is to MWR, I'd guess it's not eligible for the credit back but would likely code as travel. Hopefully a currently military dependent/member can say for sure.
