You get DVC or AP discounts when charging to the room, but to get the Disney Visa discount you have to charge to the Visa card. You’ll get Rewards in that case!Like DVC or Visa discounts?

But if you have an AP or DVC you get the discount then apply the charge to your rooms folio and then pay with the Disney I card (sorry I already forgot the name lol) and it will count towards the $2k that’s you a $200 credit and you will still earn the 3% back. You get DVC or AP discounts when charging to the room, but to get the Disney Visa discount you have to charge to the Visa card. hmmmmmmm I need to remember to try this. I was always told no. I hate paying in person and much prefer to charge back to the room whenever possible.I was Able to do use at the carts but not sure if they scanned the DL app or my card

I was offered basically the same as the welcome offer of $300 for $1k spend to upgrade to the premier.I'll probably cancel my Premier card a few weeks after the Inspire arrives and I drain all the saved up rewards dollars on it, but I've seen a couple of posts here talking about downgrading to keep it open for future upgrade offers.
I'm not really understanding why you'd keep a card and upgrade it to a fee-based card again when you already have one with better rewards.
What type of upgrade offers have been offered in the past?
Yes, that’s correct. My point was that to get a Disney Visa discount for merchandise or dining, you’d have to charge directly to the CC. You can’t charge to the room and get the DV CC discount, but at least charging to the DV CC gets DV rewards points. But if you have an AP or DVC you get the discount then apply the charge to your rooms folio and then pay with the Disney I card (sorry I already forgot the name lol) and it will count towards the $2k that’s you a $200 credit and you will still earn the 3% back.
Not Visa. Yes DVC, AP. To get Visa discounts you must directly charge to the Dis Visa.So if you charge things like food or merch to the room, does that mean you wouldn't be able to get any percentage off discounts offered or do you still get those? Like DVC or Visa discounts?
Email solicitation?I was offered basically the same as the welcome offer of $300 for $1k spend to upgrade to the premier.
YupEmail solicitation?
Wheres my email Chase??!!I was offered basically the same as the welcome offer of $300 for $1k spend to upgrade to the premier.
This was beneficial as there was no credit hit and more importantly it did not affect my 5/24 status to open better cards.
We're going to aulani! I got 2 nights in a deluxe island garden and 2 in a one bedroom pool. Aiming for 8 nightsI deal with your situation sometimes too. Not everyone in my family wants to go to Disney every vacation! What is wrong with them? If you end up going elsewhere you can still enjoy it, and it will conserve points for a bigger Disney trip later![]()

Yes, and some of us are still waiting to hear if we can get the Disney spend bonuses on paying dues.Well, my very first sentence in this thread was: "There is a new Disney Visa card on the way and I'm curious what it could mean for possibly an extra discount on buying DVC points with it."
+1 to all of this. We can hit the spend solely on DCL (and parks/resorts dining, lol) and if we get a reward bonus on dues this will be extremely valuable!… we spend a lot of money at Disney when we stay at the DVC resorts so I would have never known about this card if you didnt post this. It is also helpful for people buying now that maybe want to use this new option. So thank you![]()
Is that unusual? I think metal card are usually ultra premium cards with $400+ AFs.$150 annual fee and no metal card? Come on Chase
Or the Apple CardIs that unusual? I think metal card are usually ultra premium cards with $400+ AFs.
ETA: not that I would mind having a Disney Visa in metal!

I can’t imagine them letting us swap them out as often for new designs if they were metal thoughIs that unusual? I think metal card are usually ultra premium cards with $400+ AFs.
