New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Since I was just rejected for 5/24, I'm considering just upgrading my Premier. Is that a work around for the 5/24?

Would that give me all the benefits of the Inspire except for the sign up bonus? A sign up bonus is wonderful, but I'm pretty sure I'll be ahead of the game with Inspire within a couple months.
Yes that is a workaround. All the same except the bonus.

Have not made it through the rest of the thread so maybe someone else answered, but, no, they do not.
That's so dumb, no reason for me to have two different sets of Disney points. Now I have to think about what I want to do (upgrade or new app).

Looking at the refer a friend page for Chase, referrals are live for this new card and sign up bonus. So, if you have a Disney card and your spouse/whoever is going to get this one make a link for them to use. Just google Chase refer a friend for the webpage. You can even refer to this card from the no-af Disney. Note- you can't refer yourself.

To cover my rear since broaching the topic... **Referrals are not allowed on DIS Boards**

Thanks, no nobody had yet.

I guess if you have the other card the best thing would be to buy something small that you could use PYB for to wipe out the dollars in the other account.
Of course if you had $25 in Rewards dollars and bought a $25 gift card from shop disney you would still have points afterwards so you are forced to buy a $30 card to be able to use all of your points lol.

Extra $100 fee. Also, put some of that merch and dining toward your room charge first so you can hit the $200 back

Thanks. I don't know why I thought the fee was $100 on my current card.

Will I get the sign up bonus even if I haven't had the Premier for 24 months? I'll have to look but I don't feel like it's been 2 years.

ETA - Uh...nevermind. I guess I've had the Premier card since 2022. Time flies. 🤣

Doesn't matter, this is not the Premier--nobody has ever had this card or earned its bonus, so anyone is eligible for the Sign Up Bonus... so long as you can get approved.

Yeah, what I have done to zero out the rewards on my regular Disney Visa is make a small dues overpayment, wait for the statement to close and the rewards to become available, and just cash them all out using PYB on the dues payment.

Is @Girlstar30 going to make it 4? :)
My wife was just informed she is getting two weeks off of work this month and she said "we should go somewhere, but not Florida, I am tired of Disney. Let's go to the Grand Canyon or Sequioa national park." So my whole day has been ruined, im depressed, and I cant handle being rejected by the credit card too today. So im out.

Last minute Aulani????? Look it up!

I did already 🤣🤣 Two nights pool and garden deluxe studio. I may be able to pull something together but she is being so negative saying the weather will probably be bad and bla bla bla I cant believe this is our chance 😢 😔 💔
The Grand Canyon will be iffy this time of year, too. We went in March one year. It was freezing. We drove back to Phoenix in a bad snowstorm.

Sequoia will be nice and snowy, too. I was white knuckling it up the serpentine road in July. I can’t imagine driving up there in the winter.

Not trying to be Debbie Downer. I just want to give you some points to counter argue. 😁

This isnt being a Debbie downer, this is fantastic 🤣 Thank you.

First time I am ever considering one of the Chase Disney cards, the previous ones didn't have enough to make me want to apply.

It seems like a no brainer if you don't already have another card paying for Disney+ as the $120 mostly covers the annual fee and then the $100 credit for $200 in tickets makes it worthwhile. The $600 sign up bonus ($300 DGC at sign up and then $300 statement credit after you spend $1000) sweetens the deal even more.

My only question becomes is it worthwhile for both myself and my wife to apply for our own cards. We could each easily get the $100 credit for $200 in tickets as we buy 4 Annual Passes each year and could spread it over the 2 cards plus gift cards.

Too bad Disney+ doesn't allow you to split the payment across 2 cards. My monthly payment is $24.99/month for the "Legacy bundle" (Disney+ no ads, Hulu Ads and ESPN Plus). If I could split the payment onto 2 cards and get the $10 credit on each, it would make applying for 2 cards simple - but I don't think you can split the payment that way.

The $200 reward dollars for $2000 on resorts or cruises is harder. More than likely I could do it on 1 card by charging to my room. I wonder if I can charge a Disney gift card to my room? Buy 2x $1000 Disney Gift Card, charge it to my room and then use one of the Disney Visa's towards the Folio. If that works, then you'd essentially be buying a $2000 DGC for 13% off ($200 Disney Reward Dollars plus 3% back in Disney Reward Dollars). Then in theory you could use that DGC to pay for DVC dues or whatever else you wanted.

If you stay at VDH or Aulani often, the Transient Occupancy Tax should count towards the $2000 too.

Anyone know if they allow you to purchase a Disney Gift card in the parks and charge it to your room or do you need to use a credit card for DGCs purchased at the parks.
