New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

That's not what I'm asking. I am asking if I would get the sign up bonus on the Inspire card. If I can get the sign up bonus on the Inspire card it would make sense for me to apply and then after approval downgrade my Premier card to the no fee card as I don't want to cancel a line of credit.
Yes you should get it on a new card but as has already pointed out product changes will not get you the sign up bonus but you would be able to take advantage of the statement credits on tickets etc.

Your best action is to apply for a new Inspire card and meet the spend to get the $300 statement credit and gift card and then downgrade to your premier card to the regular version so you are only paying one AF which should be the same if not lower than before after the credits.

Hooray! Approved. I did *not* think it'd work with the 5/24 Chase restrictions but I guess my bad math was in my favor.

Next step will be to downgrade our Premier to the no-AF standard card.

Edit: And wow, that $300 DGC was fast. Already at my inbox. Sweet!
What’s the downside to just canceling the premier card? Does it just drop your credit score?

It would drop yes.

How much would be on factors such as the length of time you had it open and the available credit.

You can always transfer the credit to another chase card but nothing you do about the age.

We've got some automatic payments in use on that card already. Plan is to keep the no-AF for some non Disney things (categories that don't earn multipliers elsewhere) but that earn us a little Disney credits . Then use the new Inspire card for real Disney purchases.

lol I was getting confused too. I kept seeing the avatar for @airjay75 but it was @jpeden

Welcome @jpeden from a bunch of Disney nuts
I was like airjay seems like he would qualify immediately, what is he talking about, hes a tax guy lawyer. Then I saw the screename and im half asleep and im like airjay's identity has been stolen, imposter. Sorry dont mind me 😆

I think this more about the whole package thing since we all have DVC the room is already paid unless your out of points and most DVC members have AP's.

Even with that we still spend that much but we like to shop and eat lol
Im just making sure that shopping, eating, spa services, all of that counts right? Because if so I probably hit that next weekend lol

I called. No dice for me - too many recently opened accounts. Not surprised. Also can't product change since both of my Disney Visas have been open less than a year. Oh well. I imagine I will pick it up at some point. Need to give my credit history some time to cool off.
Did you ask if they could open it but not extend new credit but instead pull some from your premier or other chase cards?
I had to do that while at the beach house in the summer when I was trying to grab a marriott card and then they were able to open.

As long as you charge to your room so it shows up on your "Folio" then pay your room with the card it should work.
Im so used to paying with gift cards this is good to know. Not happy at all with what happened to my gift card last time but I supposed thats for another thread

@airjay75 or others with 2 Disney Cards.

Do the two cards combine the Disney Rewards into one wallet/bank or are they seperate?

If separate are you able to combine like we can with Chase ultimate rewards?

If you are trying to cancel the premier card and then apply for the Inspire Card they might not let you. I tried canceling and reapplying for the Disney Visa cards last year and they denied me and I have a high FICO score. I believe you have to wait 24 months to reapply.
