If I did my job like Disney IT does theirs, I would have been fired years ago.
I work in IT and i'm a web dev... and sure but scaling up servers doesnt help when their web apps and backends dont scale up as well, with the backend/DB systems being the most important for needing to scale.I work in IT and there are ways to scale up your servers without having unused servers always just standing by. I cant believe they dont look into the technology. It just auto scales up when the load is needed.

Yes, and there are many options for scaling, but they dont use AWS.AWS can scale DBs too!
