I know alot of you like to visit Las Vegas and "donate" to our city! LOL!

If you get a chance to visit The Fashion Show Mall (located on the Las Vegas Strip), a brand new Disney Store opened in there today! :cool1:

I was there among many waiting for the doors to open. It was cool how they pick a child to "unlock" the magic and that child is the first one to enter the store!

Its not very large, but they had plenty of merchandise!

Me, I purchased some vinylmations and a cool Mickey/Minnie snowglobe!

Just wanted to share the info! :):):)

Thank you so much for the tip!!!

I love your town... We visit about 3 times a year, aside from your fine dining ( did some one say Del Frisco's!?!) Shopping is my favorite thing to do while in Vegas

:-)

Yay! Thanks for sharing! I live here and never even heard there was a new one opening.

Today was their "soft" opening. The grand opening is on Saturday, August 17th. They will have an opening ceremony at 10:00 am and the first 500 guests will get a free gift. (Rumor is that its mickey ears)
Also, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be on hand for a meet & greet from 12-4pm.

Another thing to note is that Las Vegas is the fourth city (behind New York, Chicago, and San Francisco) to have Disney merchandise made specific to that city. They have some Las Vegas shirts and they have a cool Stitch plush dressed as Elvis. Its the white bedazzled outfit and Stitch has the Elvis hair and a white cape that says Las Vegas on the back.

Glad to hear they opened it again, after being closed for about two years and in the same location too! Love Fashion Show Mall and looove Vegas!

Biskit, did they have a Vinylmation trading box? And how was their Vinylmation selection? I usually go to the Meadows store and have been hoping we'd get another one.

(By the way, if you're much of a vinyl collector, check out the selection at Rogue Toys downtown.)

No trading box as of yet. They had Animation #3, Monsters U, Wild West, Muppets #3 (I pulled a Walter today!) and Urban Redux #2.

I've never heard of Rogue Toys. Where in downtown is it located???

616 S. Las Vegas Blvd. between Swag Antiques and Sweet Spot Candy Shop, roughly diagonal from the Pawn Stars shop. They have 30 or so early-series Vinylmations and tons of great retro toys.

Wwwhhaaaatt!?!? Vegas specific Disney merch?! OMG - my two fave places in the world have merged! I've gotta get there and get some shopping done : D

We were just in Vegas this weekend, had a great time. I'm not a huge shopper but would have loved to see a little Disney/Vegas merge. :thumbsup2

Also, if you are a vinylmation collector, there is going to be a Minnie Mouse dressed as a Las Vegas Showgirl. Thats what I've heard and when I asked the CMs, they don't know when its coming. (My guess is that it will be at the official grand opening!)

Re: city specific Merch--it's not new. I've had a Paul Revere Mickey coffee Mug (and used to have a sweatshirt of the same) from Boston since the early 90's.

They were from the Disney Store at Quincy Market, not some cheap knock-off.

Well they had a Disney Outlet store less new stuff but way cheaper. And man if you are ever lucky enough to go to DL and know a CM the D store is the place to go.Stuff is like half off and its the good stuff for the most part.

I have lived here for almost six years and have yet to go to the Fashion Show Mall, lol.

However, I LOVE the Disney outlet store at the Premium Outlets North off of Charleston. I routinely get DL clothing there half off or more of what you'd pay at the parks.

LizzyS--me too the Lv discount store way better. If you befriend a CM and god to disneyland the D store is a way better version. The CMs get in and they have tons of great stuff and its all like 40% off and they have sizes too.

Not sure where you are located but they opened another Disney outlet at the Premium Outlets South a few months ago. We used to drive to the north outlets and now I can get my Disney fix in less than 10 min!

Really?

You're not talking about the Character Depot, are you? I've been there and it's OK, but I like the actual Disney Store Outlet better. If they opened one of those at the South outlets, that's awesome!

I work 5 minutes from the south one, lol.

Nope! Character Depot is actually going out of business, it might already be closed (I was there in June and the cashier said probably by the end of summer).
The new one is inside of the outlet mall! It opened a few months ago. Happy shopping!!
