Disneyonice on line has a show listed for November in New York just as New Disney On Ice. Does anyone know what it is or how I can find out?

Disney on Ice is usually in Atlanta in Nov. too, but they don't have any dates listed. Does anyone know how far in advance the release dates ?

I just checked the Disney On Ice site -- the show in Nov in NY is Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles Magic Kingdom Adventure. Don't know anything about the show, and no info on the web site.

Anyone with info on the show?? Anyone? Anyone? ;)

I agree! I just received a mailing today with this info on it. It's coming to two locations in Central FL in September. I was shocked that the ticket prices were VERY affordable, too!

More incentive for me to move to Florida, I guess!! :) :)

I don't get to post much on this board, but I read it daily.....but now I have something to contribute..... :cool1:

Disney On Ice comes to our State Fair each year. I just looked on the Fair's website and they have it as Finding Nemo.

Ticket prices were $16, $22, and $26, with "reefside" and VIP tickets also available.

I just bought advanced tickets for 9/25 here in south fla to see disney on ice- celebrating 100 years. it wasnt cheep either. I paid $40 per ticket for row 2 VIP section. the front row was already sold out..

$40 isn't too bad for VIP --even 7 or 8 years ago I was paying $50 for the same seats in Atlanta.....And the last few years we've been able to get 1st row, but I thnk they were $60 or $65 last year.

I'm hoping these lower prices I've been hearing about will still be around when they get to Atlanta :earsboy:

I found this today( I got this info. out of my Disney Visa news letter)~

The Incredibles take a break from catching villains and go to Disneyland and Disney World to catch the fun of the "Happiest Homecoming on Earth". Who knows what adventures they'll find there!

I can't wait to see this one, it will be here in MN in March of 2006!

I just checked disneyonice.com for Atlanta dates--and I was shocked to see that the VIP seats here are $75 ! :earseek: What makes them so much more expensive here than everywhere else that people have posted from ?

The show is currently rehearsing in Lakeland, Florida, and Kenneth Feld is notoriously tight lipped about his shows before they open to the public. But from the look of the artwork on the promotional material chances are it's going to be a lot like the "100 Years of Disney Magic" show with characters from The Incredibles on hand to segue between segments. The first public shows will be September 2-3 in Lakeland. Over the past several years the tour for a new show has gone up to Providence and then down the east coast, back up the east coast, across to the midwest and then down through Texas before ending in Florida the following May. The second year of the tour starts in Mexico City and then hits cities in the southwest and on the West Coast. The shows generally run for 5-7 years although Beauty and The Beast has been going for over 10 years. Tickets go on sale about 6 weeks prior to the engagement. Here's the list of dates that have been published with the cities from last year's tour filled in where they are likely to appear this year:

Sept. 2-3 Lakeland, Florida
Sept. 8-11 Orlando, Florida
Sept. 15-18 Nashville, Tennessee

Oct. 5-9 Richmond, Virginia
Oct. 12-16 Knoxville, Tennessee
Oct. 19-23 Fairfax, Virginia

Nov. 2-6 Atlanta, Georgia

Nov. 15-20 Uniondale, New York
Nov. 22-27 East Rutherford, New Jersey
Nov. 30-Dec. 4 Indianapolis, Indiana (TBA)
Dec. 7-11 Raleigh, North Carolina
Dec. 14-18 Roanoke, VA or Charleston, WV (TBA)
Dec. 26-Jan. 8 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (TBA)

Apr. 19-23 Little Rock, Arkansas, or Memphis, Tennessee (TBA)
Apr. 26-30 New Orleans, Louisiana, or Biloxi, Mississippi (TBA)
May 17-21 Tampa, Florida

I am happy to see Indy on the list. My DD(7) has really enjoyed the ice shows. On mousesavers, I have seen some discount codes for tickets for Disney On Ice. I believe VIP sections aren't included though...and in the past if you go to the Disney on ice website and register, you can get advanced seating priveledges in your area. . . :cool1:

I'll try not to spoil any of the surprises but I just spent the weekend with the new ice show who's official name is (and it's a mouthful) "Disney On Ice presents Disney/ Pixar's The Incredibles in a Magic Kingdom Adventure" at the TD Waterhouse Centre here in Orlando. Personally, I thought it was one of the weaker offerings Feld Entertainment has put out in recent years (I may be a bit jaded having worked on a couple of the company's other touring shows) but overall it was a fun show and the kids will have a good time. The show is an original story (as the movie wouldn't really translate well into a musical ice show) and it tries too hard at times to incorporate the other Disney characters. In fact, this show has the fewest classic characters of any DOI show to date and instead relies on familiar characters and scenes from favorite attractions in the theme parks.

The basic story is that the Parr Family is going on a vacation to the Magic Kingdom. Their desire to enjoy the park unnoticed is thwarted when they are chosen to be the honorary grand marshalls in the parade and they get a warm welcome from Mickey and Minnie. But before that happens they have to visit the Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion. Baloo makes an appearance in the Jungle Cruise section and Buzz Lightyear is the focus of the Space Mountain section although it seemed as though the writers were really stretching to find a place to put a classic character in this part of the show. The first act ends when the parade begins without the Parr family who are running behind. But the parade is interrupted by Syndrome (actually a robotic clone, it is explained) who kidnaps Mickey and Minnie and takes over the Magic Kingdom and the Parrs are called upon to come to the rescue.

The second act begins with the introduction of Edna (who is working in the wardrobe department) and her assistants who proceed to create Supersuits for the Parrs. The show bogs down at this point with more comedy skating than is actually funny but the kids in the audience soon come to life when The Incredibles take posession of their suits and set off to free Mickey and Minnie. Since Syndrome has taken over the park, things aren't quite what they should be and the Incredibles do battle with menacing Small World dolls and rogue Caribbean pirates before the final showdown with Syndrome's army of robots, who they vanquish with the help of Frozone and the kids in the audience (each child is given a wristband when they enter the building that is used at this point in the show). With Syndrome defeated and Mickey and Minnie freed everyone joins in a Main Street Electical Parade finale with the entire cast, some fireworks and a lot of "pixie dust" swirling around the castle.

The show runs approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with a 20 minute intermission. The set is simple yet effective and creates scenes that are easily recognizable to park fans including the "Stretch Room" and "Ballroom" in the Haunted Mansion and the "Burning City" from Pirates of the Caribbean. The skating is top quality and the lighting design by Peter Morse is absolutely spectacular. There are a few comedic special effects that show off the Parr's super powers although some of them will be hard to see from the cheap seats. The show is traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, tomorrow for an opening at the Gaylord Entertainment Center on Wednesday. The rest of the schedule is below (dates marked as "TBA" have not been confirmed and are subject to change with the exception of the Indianapolis engagement which is now official). Tickets usually go on sale about 6 weeks in advance of the engagement. Ticket information can be obtained online at the websites of the individual venues, Ticketmaster or Disney On Ice.

We're going in Oct for the Disney Princesses on Ice here in Cincinnati! $10 a ticket and excellent seats! I booked ahead with advanced seating! :cool1:

We saw the Disney on Ice Incredibles show today and I thought it was FABULOUS!! It was our 3rd show...first time in the front row, we thought it was worth every extra penny.

Enjoy!

These engagements have now been announced:

December 26-January 8 Philadelphia (Wachovia Center)
February 17-26 Boston (TD Banknorth Garden)

I went today with my parents, and I gotta say, as a 22 year old, I loved it! :cool1: Even got my dad thinking about another family trip to WDW next year, perhaps. :goodvibes

Although I have to say I will never look at Small World quite the same way again... they're alive after all! :rotfl: Almost made me wonder if the Disney folks hear all the jokes many make about IASW and how it's like a horror ride. :rotfl2:
