NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Any reason to believe we cant purchase our passes with GCS (we got discounted) and get the new $100 promo on the Sorceror pass? Trying to stack this the best way possible, haha. We have 7 passes to buy!
I called today and asked a CM just about every question I could think of about this pass promo - she had to enlist chat help herself to answer all of them lol, but confirmed that:

  • you can use DGCs for all/some of your pass purchase,
  • you can upgrade from regular or PH tickets (even purchased 3rd party) to an AP and still get the promo, and
  • you get 1 GC PER AP purchased (not just one per family or some other type of nonsense like with the recent holiday room promo).
She also mentioned that they do not currently have any official end date for the promo - meaning it will just likely go "poof" when enough people have bought in!

Thanks for doing the research for us!!

Just used the offer on my 4 capital one cards. Will post if it credits.

I only bought $67 GC because it maxes at $10. So %15 of $67.00 is $10.05 which should max the offer.

Edit - The Pending Charges show up as (Healthcare) so that’s a good initial sign.
Update…

None of the GCs triggered CVS’s %15 cashback from Capital One, so it looks like the Cap1 offers are worthless going forward.

I had a CapOne CVS in-store offer for 10% cash back (max $10) a few weeks ago, and successfully used it to buy a $100 DGC at CVS. I will note that the $10 did not show up in my rewards for at least a week, which is quite a bit longer than similar merchant offers on other credit cards.

I just activated a few more different offers and the fine print and both state “ Payouts are usually issued within 45 days of an eligible purchase but may take longer in some cases.”

So hopefully they will payout eventually for the both of us.

You bought on Sat? Barely anything pays out that fast. Give it a couple weeks for a DP.

Today I upgraded two 7-day hoppers, purchased earlier this week with discounted Disney GCs, to two DVC Sorcerer APs, and paid the upgrade price with discounted DGCs. Within a couple of hours I received the two $75 e-DGCs. The $100 DGC is for the Incredi-Pass; the Sorcerer only gets $75, but I’m happy to take it!

My new BoA card is still showing my Sam’s club purchase as pending. Dang it. Hah. Wanted to verify it was the 6% online shopping category before buying more to finish up our APs.

Thank you! This is all helpful!

I meant Incredi-pass! We are out of state so we can only get the highest tier 🙃

Best way to purchase with multiple giftcards? Does the website allow for more than 1 GC at checkout? Or can we call to purchase? We always get tickets from shades of green for family so have not had to buy directly from Disney yet. Wanting to snag passes and take advantage of the new offer, TIA!

It's my understanding that you can apply only one GC per purchase. So I bought our 7-day hoppers in separate transactions, since I could cover the cost of one hopper with one GC (and had several GC with sufficient funds). I think that you can apply more than on GC if you call.

Sneaky Sneaky :)

Were you able to do this for the DVC Pass?

As an update, I DID successfully upgrade a previously purchased PH ticket (3rd party) to an AP for DH today and received my promo GC via email within the hour. After taking into account CC cashback on the initial ticket, the promo, and the discounted DGCs used for the upgrade, I saved nearly 17% off the cost of the AP! On top of that, I used the Dining Dollars acquired during the initial PH ticket purchase to buy a $100 DGC through the Dining Dollars website for 15% off. Not a bad day on the ranch. 🐴

The cost to upgrade both hoppers was low enough that I could cover it with one DGC. In any case, I called DVC MS to do the upgrade, so if I had needed two DGCs I guess I could have used them.
I thought maybe you had found a way to buy them online.

No, I had to do the upgrade on the phone or wait until we were there to do it in person, and I didn't want to miss the offer. I bought the original hoppers online of course, in two purchases using a separate DGC each time.

If Costco could drop a 10% off DGC deal right now that would be incredible 😆 One can wish!
Man do I wish! This purchase of hoppers and upgrade to APs has seriously depleted our stash of DGCs, which we need for DVC dues in January as well as our trip in December!
