NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Tangentially related - since we are potentially staying at the Swan on our upcoming Christmas trip - is there anywhere/anytime that Marriott Bonvoy gift cards can be found on sale or discounted? I have noticed that most of the popular outlets don't offer them. And funny, when I search them at Target, it brings up DGC as the result ... guess it knows me too well! :jester:

I haven't seen GC discounted, but I have seen/redeemed a cash back offer on one of my credit cards (I think Amex) It was a "Spend $500, get $100 back" offer. I had already made the reservation and paid the deposit, so just called the hotel and had them put $500 against my reservation.

So if you have CC offers, check those. I have also seen % off discounts on Chase offers up to a certain $ amount.

Question on Meijer mPerks. Can I use previously earned mPerks from a $500 GC purchase($50) towards say the current promotion and still earn the new 10,000 points? Also, can I use more than one perk in a transaction? TIA

Great idea - we have two Amex and two Chase - I'll keep an eye on that.

Unfortunately you can’t redeem mperks for gift cards.

The largest amount you can claim is $50 but then you could go back and claim it again if you had that many points still.

For example I have 96,000 points right now.
I can claim in the amounts of $1, $2, $3, $4, $10, $20, $30, $40 and $50.

Unless I am making a large order I would claim smaller amounts.
For a purchase that I think would be $30 I would claim the $10 & $20 amounts.
The credit card machine will ask if you would like to redeem one of them and then it will ask about the other one although I don’t remember if there is a specific order it asks I.e lower amount first vs larger amount.
I wait towards the end to answer the questions as I have been told that you lose any mperks that aren’t used. So if the total turned out to $25 I would say yes to redeeming the $20 reward and no to the $10 reward. If it is $30 or more then I would just use both.

In addition to gift cards there are some other exclusions like alcohol and taxes so make sure you are looking at the subtotal amount when redeeming.

Hope this makes sense

Only places I have ever seen Marriott/Marriott Brand GCs are at the hotels (only some random hotels sell them) and online directly from Marriott.

To add onto @jmasgat make sure the offer covers the brand you're staying at. Swan is Westin, Dolphin is Sheraton, Swan Reserve is Autograph. They will all bill as their respective brands ultimately so they trigger offers when their brand is included. Or, they trigger the offer when their brand is not specifically excluded- sometimes the offer will be very broad for all Marriotts except brands X, Y, Z. We have seen offers pop up on all major credit card brands.

With Target Circle 360 membership, you get a coupon for something free each month. In April, they had $5 free of Favorite Day items (Target's brand of baked goods). In May, they had a free bag of Target's own brand of laundry detergent pods. And this month, you have a choice of $10 off Good and Gather or $10 off of Market Pantry Groceries or 2 free trail mix items. So far, I have been able to use the free items, but again, that will vary by each person.

May I ask where do you find the monthly freebies? I have Target 360 but unable to find monthly freebies offer.

@wiscbugs Why is this question funny?

We don't know all the answers that is why we ask them here even if it is previously been answered.
Others also share their experiences which in turn helps everyone.

Thank you for the clarification - we actually have an Autograph offer on our Amexs right now ... I did not know that was Swan Reserve. Good info to keep in the back pocket. Right now we are booked at Swan proper so I will look for Westin and Marriott.

Thanks for sharing, I missed the new freebie offer.
It should show up wth your other Circle bonus offers.
Thanks, I did look in circle offers. Could be wrong, thinking that you need to pick your offer on the first of the month and that is why I'm not seeing it today.

I use these mPerks deals every time (too many DVC point so I need all I can to cover MF). As stated - you can't use mPerks to by GC (or alcohol, at least in IN). You can get up to 10 mPerks rewards for a single value. You can only have 10, $5 rewards at a time. But you can have additional rewards for different values. Two words of warning on mPerks rewards. First, the instance you enter a value at checkout they will ask you if you want to use a reward, even in the full value is not consumed. And any unutilized value is lost if you close the transaction. For example, if I had 4 items that each cost $4, and I had 3+ $5 rewards. On scanning the first item, you are prompted "do you want to apply $5", you say yes and the amount due shows as 0. If you walk now, you owe nothing, but have lost all $5 of you reward on just $4. when you scan the next item, it will show you owe $3 and prompt you for the next reward. and so on. If you said yes 3 times, you would get $12 of items for $0, but lose $15 in rewards. I always keep a larger value item to scan last and decline any unused rewards to not lose any value. Second, Meijer proportions the Mperks rewards on all items on your purchase. If you return an item, they will only refund the proportion not covered by Mperks rewards. For example, if you bought $100 in items and applied $75 in Mperks rewards, and you return a $10 item - they will only want to give you back $2.50 since that is the ratio you paid after the rewards. I only buy groceries and things I know I am not going to return with rewards.

Yes good point on the purchases. I haven’t seen it only take $4 off an item so far but that might be since I redeem larger dollar amounts usually or most likely I’m just not paying attention :)

I certainly redeem them for things I know I won’t be returning groceries, hygiene products etc as well. If I have other items I will ask to do separate transactions. I was told by customer service on returns that they now return your mperks but I still wouldn’t want to take a chance.

No, mine is still there and haven't picked anything yet. I'm not sure what to tell you. Sorry

Just to be clear, the freebies are only available if you have Target Circle 360 (the paid membership), not just a Target Circle account which is free. If you have Target Circle 360 and are not seeing the freebies, you should contact Target as something would then be wrong

Figured I'd toss this out there since we have a lot of recent mPerks discussion. If your Meijer has a gas station, the best value for the mPerks points is 10,000 points for $1 off per gallon of gas. You can get up to 30 gallons with one redemption so you're essentially getting 30% off per $100 in gift cards. It can be tricky to get to the 30 gallons, even when my truck is near empty I still bring a 5 gallon can to top off to get the full 30. If you can time it with a spouse/family member to fill up two cars at once you probably have a better chance. But even if you can only get 15-20 gallons it's still a higher value than using the X dollars off purchases.

Kroger is offering 4x Fuel Points between 6/4-6/17 with digital coupon.

I came here to post that Kroger digital coupons are active, glad to see you're on top of it.

Kroger will be offering 4x Fuel Points every Friday until 7/25/2025.
You will have to click the coupon on the website/app to load to your account (not sure if it is a weekly coupon or once for the whole time)
Amazon cards will continue to only earn 2x

I believe you still need to clip each promotion when they become available.

Just saying, haven't stepped foot in Kroger, Meijer or Target, gosh, I can't remember how long it's been.

And what's up with Kroger & affiliates price gouging their customers... again! Shame!

Another 3 x $100 for $30 here! At least it's an easy number for DGC - though I probably don't need any more... I should really take others' advice and start a tracker of what I have.

I am trying to find the best way to protect my gift cards. I am going to go to Disney with about $1500 in gift cards. My plan is to split it between two cards. I ordered one $25 plastic card from Disney store so far since it will be less likely to be tampered with and not card board. I will transfer all of the money onto the plastic cards on Disney gift card site. Is there anything else I should do?

I already paid off my resort stay with my gift cards which I’ve held onto in case of a refund for some reason.

Just adding, you should read Post #5 Disney Gift Cards 101 Combine & Protect

So very important!! :flower3:
