Hello Everybody,
I am so glad to have found this wonderful board. I spent around five hours the other night reading every posting about the Panama Canal Repo cruise and really felt like I was there. Thank you to everyone who participated in that discussion. Now I don't feel like my upcoming cruise will be my first cruise ever, instead I feel like I will be going back to a fun and familier spot.
I will be traveling with my childhood best friend's family and my husband. There will be 12 of us in the party in all (8 Big kids and 3 small ones and 1 tween). Who else will be on the ship with us? What should we see? Where should we go? Any suggestions for making this trip even more special for someone in our group?
My best friend's inlaws invited us to join them (we are not related but they have somewhat "adopted" me and my DH). She (the best friend's mom-in-law) is a lifelong disney fan and was even one of the invited guests at Disneyland's private opening day celebration in 1955 and also was there for the first public day. She has done this wonderful thing for all of us and I would really like to be able to do something super special for her. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, she/we are pin trader's and will be bringing a bunch of stuff in hopes of finding others to trade with (she collects anything to do with the DL castle, He - her hubby is a big Tigger fan, The little girls, aged 10 are very into the Princesses and Tinkerbell, the tween is into Donald and the 7year old boy likes everything) So, if you want to trade we will be armed and ready and looking to have fun exchanging tangible memories with others.
Oh, I also owe a big thank you to all who contributed to the "tips" thread as I printed out all 14 pages and have distributed it to everyone going on the cruise as a kind of bible/primer. The tips are all great!
Thanks again,
And I hope to meet some of you in July!
