The Philadelphia Inquirer had an article about WDW this past weekend and it mentioned that there is going to be a new dinosaur themed restaurant in Downtown Disney, and pretty much that's it. I've gone on line to get details but I can't find anything. Anyone heard any rumors? (is it true, when will it be opening, etc.)

I have a 9 year old that has informed us he is going to be a Paleontologist, if this is true (and opening before April) this would make his trip!

New Restaurants Coming to Walt Disney World in 2008
Landry's Restaurants, which just introduced a taste of Asia to Disney's Animal Kingdom with the opening of Yak & Yeti Restaurant, will treat Downtown Disney guests to a face-to-face encounter with a dinosaur at T-Rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure, A Place to Eat, Shop, Explore and Discover, which combines table-service dining and retail in an interactive prehistoric environment built around water, fire and ice. The restaurant is expected to open in fall 2008.

I just read in on the mousesavers newsletter the other day, and I googled T-Rex and they already have this restaurant in other locations so you can see the menu! I'm excited and hope it'll be open for my Sept. trip this year! :woohoo:

It is called T-Rex and owned by Landry's which is the same company that owns RFC. www.trexcafe.com is the site and it looks like the menu will be pretty similiar to RFC. We really like and enjoy the RFC and since my youngest DS is obsessed with dinosaurs this will definately be a must eat at when we go back to WDW!
