New Dining Reservation System!!!!!!!!

I posted this in the dining section, but I wanted all my DVC friends to know also!!
I am so excited!! Disney started the new dining reservation system this morning!!!! I called from work to make my reservation for Crystal Palace on May 26th and I was the very FIRST person to make a reservation within the new system!!
The CM was so excited! She kept saying "you're first and I get to make the first reservation!!" It took her awhile to find me, then she "lost" me, but then she got me booked!!
When you call now you will be prompted to push 1 for reservations until May 25th or for chef mickeys or crt, 2 for all others!!
Wonder if this means online booking will start??
The cm was sweet and a bit frazzled. It took two of them to work everything out and get me booked.
Disney did it right this time. Kudos!! They set this up so that people could only make one days worth of reservations today, as it starts on the 26th, so small call volume, and it will increase in numbers each day, allowing the cast members to learn with smaller numbers of people first!! Way to go disney!!

P.S. Don't forget sanna reservations start tomorrow!!

I'm not sure what changes are coming, but the confirmation numbers have changed so I hope it means on line adr's will be starting!!

Disney has been working on a new Dining/Tours reservations systems for quite sometime now. It sounds like they have finally cut over to that new system.

Yup, figured that, 90 days + what your ressie will be for.
Glad they are getting software switched over, and hoping the bugs are worked out of it.

Thank you for addressing some of the questions people asked. I worked all night last night, work all night tonight so had to get some sleep.
I just hope this means online adr's will start soon!

Thanks for the heads up. I think I am going to prefer 90 days out because when it was 180, you had no clue of park hours. This should make planning go a little smoother.

I called Disney Dining today to find out if Sanaa will be serving breakfast and the CM said she didn't know anything about Sanaa, when it will open or when they will be able to take ADRs. She even checked with her supervisor since I told her several forums had mentioned that DVC members could start making reservations on Feb 16th and the resort will open May 1st. She said they usually get notice at least a day ahead of time when a new restaurant comes up for making ADRs but nobody has said anything.

She suggested I check the official Disney web site to see if it was announced that Sanaa ADRs will be available tomorrow. Has anyone seen it officially announced? If so, I sure hope they remember to tell Disney Dining about it!

I posted this in the Dining thread, too, but figured DVC members might know more about it.

It was announced on dvc member.com. I am going to try for the reservation through the regular dining line tomorrow morning and if that wont work call member services!! Good luck!!

I think it will really help for people who book starting the 5th or so as the calendar wasn't up this month on the first. Maybe disney will improve on this end though!!
I hope this means that the system problems are being worked out and we can book future adr's online!!!
