Whilst I do enjoy the commentary and insight provided by the staff who have decades of experience with Disney, I will still remain a bit cautious. Understandably they run a business that’s dependent on Disney opening so I feel like there is somewhat of a bias towards sooner rather than later.

That being said, I think Pete is correct that Florida residents will be given the first test in the parks - whenever that happens. There’s no one travelling, and there are probably a ton of Florida APs that are itching to get into the parks. Coming from the Florida metro areas has fewer barriers than travelling from anywhere else. It would be an easy way to test out limited park density.

Only thing I’m wondering about is their thoughts on servers using PPE and what effect that would have. Masks on guests/servers, what’s that reality going to look like? And what does that mean for the businesses that need to separate guests so far that they need to raise prices to account for a lower density?

We have reservations for Fort Wilderness starting June 21, and we'll have no trouble traveling from northwestern Michigan. I don't think they're going to be canceling our reservation unless the entire World remains closed. Once we get down there, we're going to have to eat--whether it be by counter service or food truck (which would be fun, btw).

Unless Disney has a "soft" opening in May or the first week of June, I don't see them limiting the parks/restaurants to just Fla. natives.

(ETA:) Additionally, while I figure they're going to be eliminating buffets for the time being, Trails End won't be the same if it's an "all you care to eat" experience. One of the main reasons I love TE is due to the many different fresh fruits and salads they offer, not to mention the veggies. While I enjoyed Hoop-de-do's dining experience, I wouldn't want to be limited to that menu even though the food was excellent. By the end of our trip, I'd be willing to kill for a fresh strawberry.

As just about everyone is aware, Georgia started Phase 1 about a week ago and the Gov. lifted shelter in place as of yesterday. A lot of the restaurants here in Athens, decided to stay closed because it was going to cost more to open under the guidelines and some just felt it was too soon. I had to go into work yesterday for a short while, I've been able to go in through the whole thing because I'm a bookkeeper and considered essential but have only been going in one day a week), and from the traffic at least, it was pretty much business as usual. I didn't go through downtown and UGA is still closed but I did see a lot of students who stayed in town out and about, no masks. I went by a little coffee shop that has been closed and evidently they opened a walk up window. There were about 10 people standing shoulder to shoulder there. So, I'm expecting our case level to escalate big time here.

Thanks Pete about coffee! When I read that I thought - what? Don’t understand the reason either and not happy about it. Kuerig is a great idea!
I was also wondering about those wall mounted shampoos etc. Maybe they’ll go back to individual toiletries now, I mean if they’re taking out coffee.....
