I am looking to buy a new digital camera for our trip in July. I own a Kodak Z740, it's about 4-5 years olds, only a 5mp with a 10x zoom. It takes great pics in the daylight, but inside of buildings and at night it is a real struggle. I am looking for a camera that takes decent pics in lowlight settings (doesn't have to be professional but at least be able to tell what the picture is!), I would also like a smaller camera than the Kodak I have. I have been reading up on the boards and the Cannon PowerShot seems to get good reviews. I didn't know if anyone has used this particular model yet or not, I think it is new, Cannon PowerShot A1100 IS. It is a 12mp which is quite an upgrade from mine, but only a 4x zoom. Will I regret going down in zoom? Will the extra MP make up for the difference in zoom? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I don't want to spend over $250. Thanks!!
