New destination for DCL

That's good news. From what I could read online, Pearl Island is a private getaway. So everyone keeps saying if DCL starts back up, it will be short 3 and 4 nighters to the Bahamas. It's also rumored that the excursions will have to go through DCL in order to control Covid exposure to both Bahamians and DCL guests. So perhaps this is the start up that we are waiting on? This will prolly be one of the only DCL excursions to do at first if they port in Nassau when they start back up.

We went there on a Disney snorkeling excursion in 2017. It wasn't part of the original itinerary but the water was so rough (my husband almost drowned) that we didn't get to - do what or go to the places - we were supposed to. It was a fill in stop. Nice enough place to stop for a bit but it's a small island. Can't imagine it with a lot of people there. (That was one of the VERY rare cruise ship excursions we ever did. We were supposed to snorkel with turtles. We did not.)

Royal does excursions there, and the pricing seems reasonable. I wonder how much more DCL will charge. I’m also curious how availability will be. If they already have contracts with Royal, and possibly other lines, I wonder how much access DCL could actually get.
