New Desserts at CRT

I noticed there is a new dessert called "Bruno's Favorite Dessert" as well as an updated description for "The Clock Strikes Twelve". I'm pretty sure it used to be a flourless chocolate cake, but now it says Dark Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Coulis. I'm still debating whether not to order a cake or the chocolate slipper for our end-of-November trip. Has anyone tried these?

Is it me or did a few things change on CRT menu?! I know for certain that the chicken entree changed. When did Chef's tasting plate become the only appetizer?!

I think the new appetizer came with the last menu update, a few months ago. I haven't seen any reviews on Tripadvisor or Yelp that had anything positive to say about the tasting plate. This most recent one just came last week when many of the other restaurants received new menus (such as the LTT lunch update). There are definitely a few changes to the entrees as well as the desserts. I was hoping the kids dessert would get an update too.... The s'mores thing doesn't look very exciting.

We had the tasting plate, and it was just fine. I think if you're at CRT expecting "signature/gourmet," it may disappoint. But I compare CRT to "a nicely catered business or wedding banquet." It's all lovely, nicely plated, but not especially woo woo gourmet. The kids stole some of the meat.

We did the steak and the fish, with the seasonal dessert and a Clock Strikes 12, so no help there.

We ate there last Thursday. The server said they did away with individual appetizers two months ago. The tasting platter was ok. My husband had the chicken and it was delicious. I got the steak and shrimp and his entree was much better than mine. The clock strikes 12 was definitely a mousse. It was fairly flavorless, but I had ordered a chocolate slipper and chocolate crown, both of which had much better quality mousse in it. I think they are worth the extra charge. Funny but we compared it to a nice wedding banquet too.

We ate here the second week of October. I'm a vegetarian, so I just requested that they not put the meat and cheese on the same plate for the appetizer. Instead they made me my own little variation. It was SO GOOD!
My husband and I ate here in 2009 and both loved our meals. Again my husband said it was his favorite meal of the trip (he had the fish).
The kids loved the S'more desserts.
I loved the 10% AP discount.

I just wanted to follow up on my post. I LOVED the salmon dish that I chose for my entrée. I had to order the Bruno's dessert just to try it since I hadn't seen any reviews. I wouldn't recommend it. It was very light, like a spongecake consistency, with a very light strip of icing. It was not rich at all. It was the exact same shape and size the Gus and Jacques green tea mousse used to be. The rest of my family enjoyed the seasonal dessert which was cheesecake with strawberry topping. I special ordered cupcakes for the boys, and they were HUGE for the $9 they cost.

I immediately went to go look if the kids desserts were updated. Sadly not. For a restaurant that's a big deal special occasion (eating in the castle)
to have only one really nice kids dessert (with peanut butter at that) is really a disappointment IMO. Sugarless sorbet and yogurt parfait are nice options for other restaurants but I'm not looking to enforce healthier eating at CRT.
