Dear Cassidy & Kara,

When I told my parents [I was about 8] they just told me that it seems like I just want to be famous. But that's not true. I love performing, and they know that. I always have. It's like, they're making up excuses so they don't have to do work or pay for stuff or whatever? But I'm not changing my mind. This is what I want to do. =/ And I would save my money just to get an acting coach. I really want one. I mean, you can only take so many classes. I've just been taking classes for years and I'm ready to actually start getting serious about this.

I'm also saving my money for things that would help me.
Acting classes, lessons, singing lessons, whatever.
I just haven't told my parents what I'm really saving for.
They have asked, and I just say I'm saving for a laptop.
I know its a bad lie, but I couldn't help it.
I'm afraid their gonna say it would be a waste of money.
I'm getting $250 for my birthday, it's all I asked for.
My mom insisted on getting me something other than money.
Like a bike, or some computer equiptment I've asked for before.
But I don't need those things. Even though I really want a bike..

I do not care about being famous.
I just want to do it, because I love it.
If I have to go anywhere to audition, I'll save up a few hundred dollars to buy a plane ticket.
That's silly, but I'd do it if I have to.

I know. =/
I think my parents would say the same thing for an acting coach.
I'm starting a class tomorrow, and it's going to be on every Saturday.
That is...if they ever call back.
Have you considered trying to look for an agent?
I'd love to try to apply for one soon.
Actually I'd love to now...
But I don't think my mom would be for it. =/
Because when you're signed with an agent, you usually don't have to fly out for auditions, your agent usually sends out a tape of you auditioning.
And plus companies are usually more likely to pick people with agents.

I think you really need to tell them to listen, instead of them ignoring you about it.
Just, stomp around the house and throw a fit until they actually listen to you.
When I tried writing music before, I always ended up using words that were in other songs, thats the problem, lol.

Sometimes I leave the book where I write the songs out in the open and hope someone will find it.
I need to be more forceful here.
Ha I started doing that too.
Thats why I write it all in pencil.
