New DDP Snack Credits- Nothing over $2 ????

Maybe someone who has just returned from WDW knows for sure. I have heard that not only are we paying tip and no appetizers, but snacks can't be over $2 either.

Does this mean no Dole Whips, Mickey Bars, etc.

If this is true I think I may have to rethink the DDP. It was just about an even wash when I factored in snacks. However, now I think it is a loss.

Does anyone know this for sure?

It has been reported that snack credits are good for Dole Whips, and Mickey Ice Cream Bars.

Don't even try to take my Dole Whip away!

The original snacks on the original (2005) version of the Disney Dining Plan were limited to:
Ice cream novelty (Mickey bar, Itzakadoozle, Frozen Banana...)
20 ounce bottled soda/water
Medium fountain beverage
Single-serve bag of chips
Single-scoop popcorn box
Piece of fruit (there may have been one or two more specific choices, I'm doing this from memory).
In 2006/2007, the snack definition was GREATLY expanded, to include pretty much ANY snack item that could not be considered a 'meal' (e.g. no slice of pizza)
In 2008, apparently the snacks have been reduced to a compromise version - the original snacks, PLUS other individual snack items.

It appears the criteria is serving size - if the item is meant to serve more than one person, it cannot be purchased with a snack credit. This is to eliminate using the credits for boxes of doughnuts, bags of candy, 2 liter soda bottles, etc.

Moving to the DDP board. There is a sticky thread at the top of the DDP board listing 2008 reported snacks. Things have changed for 2008, anything that is not a single serving type snack is no longer on the list.
