New DCL Gifts Brochure is Scanned!

Hubby scanned the new brochure of DCL gifts and posted it on our website at www.castawayclub.com
It is quite different than the old Magical Treasures collection.

Thanks Barb & Tony for scanning it. I actually thought some of the items look very nice. I especially *love* that pearl necklace! Dh and I will be cruising (with ds) on our anniversary, so we may be taking advantage of something in the brochure. I do wish they still offered those nifty pillowcases, though.

Thanks for scanning and posting it, Barb! Like many others, I am disappointed in the selection. There are some nice things....just not enough good DCL exclusive merchandise! It seems particularly lacking for adults. They've even gone to really cheap DCL watches. I'm taking my mother on a "birthday" cruise in November. She had admired some things someone sent me on my last cruise, and now none of them are available. About the only thing there she might like is the necklace and some flowers, but the flowers don't even come in special vases/pots. And <I>who</I> would pay for their fruit and cheese platter when you can get one free from room service? This one isn't even on a Mickey cutting board (another thing my mom liked)! But I am glad they're offering stateroom decorations. I have a "birthday cruise" for my (adult) nephew in Oct. and then my mother in Nov., and their decorations will be fine because of course they both <I>love</I> the characters!

I know it probably sounds silly given all the food available onboard, but I was especially looking forward to surprising DD with the champagne and caviar package. Does anyone know of another source?

Shirley can put together just about anything you want. I'm sure champagne and caviar would be easy for her. Give her a call at 1.800.950.4559

I agree...it's a shame they got rid of the pillowcase, and the selection is quite limited. Personally, I order from Shirley!

Thanks for taking the trouble to scan the new brochure so quickly Barb (hubby). I agree with the group that the selection is limited - especially on the exclusive stuff.

The crystal is sort of neat - I have a couple we've done at Epcot that I rotate on a lighted base. I must say this price on this one is significantly more than at WDW.

Yes - Shirley does great baskets! The unfortunate thing is that, as far as I know, she doesn't have DCL exclusive merchandise either. It was nice that the old Magical Treasures offered several things you could only get on the ship. As someone said, most of the items offered now you could get at WDW or elsewhere, and for less money.

That really is the most disappointing part. Ditto on the thanks for scanning the brochure. I would have been even more disappointed to find out so close to sailing.
