Good morning.......... My wife and I are sailing on our first cruise in March on the Wonder. Today is the first day we can book dining/port activities. So I went on and booked a few things :-) Got Palo for our last night (which we wanted) and a couple of port activities. So.......................

For the port activities: (1) Is the price shown when scheduling, per person? (2) When do we pay for those activities? (3) What happens if I don't show up?

Thank you in advance for the help.

Yes, the prices are per person. Your onboard account is charged when you board the ship. If you don't show up you still have to pay for the excursion.

To expand on the "don't show up" - you have until 3 days prior to your cruise to cancel booked excursions without penalty. After that they are non-refundable. It may be possible to cancel on board and receive a refund if DCL can resell your spot.

But if you have an excursion booked and decide that you will not be taking it, please don't just not show up at the meeting point. They have a count of the participants on an excursion and wait until everyone is checked in before moving from the meeting point to the transportation point off the ship. If there are no shows, they wait for some period of time before they determine that the group must leave without the no shows. So a whole group of people may be waiting for some period (we have sat for an extra 15 minutes while they were looking for a family of 5 who never did turn up) unless you cancel or come to the meeting point just to let them know you won't be there.

I don't have anything to add to your questions as they have already been answered but just want to say, congrats on your 1st cruise and while on board you can visit the future cruises desk and book a "place holder" cruise. It will cost you $250 total and will give you the ability to cruise DCL again within 2 years and they will give you a 10% discount. There are a few restrictions but it's a great opportunity to save some money. It is fully refundable if you decide not to use it and cancel within 21 months.

Enjoy your cruise and welcome to your new addiction.

Have fun...we love the Wonder, she is a beautiful ship. Palo's is amazing and if Judy is still on, highly recommend her. Enjoy!
