I think you only need 10 posts to PM. Then all u do is pm vegasnative. She is the lovely conductor of this train. I have saved so much money riding on this train. Just today, I saved over $22 at Target.

So today I went to Target, ready with my coupons. I knew just what I needed to get. I had so many coupons that I asked the cashier to go slowly, so that I could hand him each coupon as he scanned the item. Well of course he didnt listen, he said that by going slowly I would make his line longer and mess up his accuracy. He said I had to wait till the end of the transaction.
So he starts to put in all of my coupons and I notice the ALWAYS coupon that is BOGO Free only gives me $3.99, so I ask him if there is a maximum or up to $3.99 on the coupon. He says "Well you are already saving alot of money. You still want to save more?". I told him that I jusdt wanted to see if the coupon had a maximum, which it didnt. He jsut kept giving me this look, like I was trying to rip him off.
A manager passed by, so he asked for help. She at first, tried to tell me that it had to be the same item. But I pointed out that the coupon says "ANY". The pads I was getting said "BO 24-48, GO 12-24 Free". I bought one 24 pack and expected to get the 20 pack for free. She said, it had to be either 12 or 24. WHAT!!! So I corrected and said "It says 12-24, not 12 or 24!". I showed her another coupon that said or. She finally understood what I was saying and over rided the coupon for the $5.79 price.
I just felt like the original cashier was insinuated that I was already saving too much, so I shouldn't complain about $1.70!! Would you have complained?

That isn't complaining! That is pointing out what you deserve...you spent a lot of time clipping those coupons....you deserve to get your total savings!!!!

IWhat I always do is with coupons like that I always write the price in for them so when they go to do it it is faster for everyone and I get my full coupon value

That isn't complaining! That is pointing out what you deserve...you spent a lot of time clipping those coupons....you deserve to get your total savings!!!!

YAY!! I am glad others see it my way. I try to watch each coupon scan, to make sure the amount is correct. I also try to add up in my head the total savings in dollars, so I can subtract that amount from my original total. I just hate getting home and realizing I didn't get credit for a coupon I had.

I try to watch closely too...sometimes the coupons stick together or the cashier is in a hurry...It sucks to put the time & effort into saving money & find you didn't get all the savings.
Once, long ago, I wasn't paying attention at the check-out & the $1 coupon I had was ADDED to my bill instead of SUBTRACTED!
I didn't catch it until I got home & was looking over my receipt...
The store straightened it out on my next visit...so I've learned to watch the register & check my receipt before leaving the store.

I agree the person ringing you up should have gone on about his job and took your coupons. Here where I live there is a grocery store called Winn Dixie. They will often have a free 25 dollar gift card with any new or transferred prescription. My dad gets all his stroke medicine and diabetes medicine there we have spent thousands of dollars there over the ten years we have lived here. Well I go to pick up my prescription and I say I have this coupon. They refused to give me the 25 dollar gift card because my dad had already got one from them. They acted like the money was coming out of their pocket. I refuse to get my scripts filled there again.

I must tell you about my coupon "steal" today!!!!! I was at Target and they had 2 packs of 44 count pull-ups. They were originally $14.99 - they were on clearance for $3.74. I quickly threw the only 2 on the shelf in my cart. I was super excited when I found I had 2 coupons one for $2 and one for $1.50!!!! I got $30 worth of pullups for $3.98!!! I am still doing the happy dance. The only downside...the are the boy print pull-ups. My daughter was informing me that she wears the princess pull-ups. When we got home I showed her her real underpants with princesses. I said she can go on the potty all of the time and wear princesses or go in her pants and wear cars!! Maybe she will be potty trained!!!! They could have had just about anything printed on them and I would have bought them...for that price!!!!


I also stopped at CVS and got my very first card. I think I will be using that program too!!!! I am already an addict!

Me too I went again today after checking their ad and the monthly book and here's how I did
4x Pledgs all purpose cleaner on clearance for $4.12with BOGO c/os,1x bottle Pantene conditioner on salee$3.33 with $1 c/o 3pack venus razors on sale for $4.99 with $2 c/o I used a $5 ECB from yesterday and paid #3.52 lus I got $4 ECB to spend next time !!

How do you know what sales will be happening a couple of weeks from now? I really am new to the CVS thing....I have the basic idea of how it works.
