Hi again, I have today received my new contracts through and they are $400 dollars higher than I was told they would be!!:confused3

I have left a message for my Guide to ring me back, so I am hoping that he can sort it out - but will that mean sending out ANOTHER contract???

I am kind of getting fed up of this whole thing now and just want it to be all finished!!!:guilty:

Try calling Quality Assurance. Their 800 number should be in your packet. I've found them to be very helpful and they are easier to reach than the guides.

Something else- sometimes incentive "discounts" are only listed on a seperate sheet of paper (as a developer's credit or similar) and don't show up on all the pages of the contract. The (total) purchase price might be $400 higher but the amount you owe might be the lower amount you were expecting...

It's a chore but read through it all because sometimes what appears to be indicated as the settlement amount isn't and you may find you're ultimately paying less $400. It is possible your paperwork may need to be redone but don't lose faith you're in the homestretch now :thumbsup2

Best wishes!

thanks everyone!!:lovestruc

The prices I am looking at are the balance I need to pay sheets, so I think I am looking at the right amounts. I have a call in to both my Guide and Quality Assurance to ring me back - I shall let you know how it goes!!:thumbsup2

It looks like they are giving me the incentives for 160-199 point purchases rather than the 200 + point incentive I was told I would now get.
Fingers crossed it works out!!:)

Is this your first DVC purchase? There are closing costs on your first contract. It think they are between $300-$400.

Call quality assurance. Your Guides job is over, they are sales people, not contract writers. Most Guides have to call Quality Assurance to get the answers anyway.

As previously posted, Disney will include any incentive money in the down payment as shown on your (receipt for deposit page). The amount shown on your settlement statement is the full amount without the incentives.

My thoughts are that Disney wants to show the larger amount on their balance sheet to make them look more profitable.

It could also be a legal requirement under some sort of state mandated consumer protection/full disclosure type law.

Definitely talk to Quality Assurance - they are always helpful.

We had a form that had a different interest rate on it than we expected, so I called about it and she explained what the form was to me. Everything else we had was right but I didn't want to sign something that was wrong - it wasn't - she explained the form to me, so it was fine.

We did the paperwork in the office for our original purchase which was good because we were able to ask questions about the various forms as we signed by the Mickey, dated by the Palm Trees. Our three add-ons have all been done remotely courtesy of FedEx. But it is really important to read through all of the papers.

Hope you got everything worked out. And congrats on the purchase!

thanks every one for your advice!!:)

I spoke to my Guide in the end last night and he confirmed that the contract was incorrect and is getting it drawn up again.:thumbsup2

Panic over!!!:goodvibes

He also said that it will all be ok in terms of banking the 2008 AKV points that I would need to bank by the end of July. Apparently they can extend that deadline if we don't get it sorted in time, as it is to do with an initial purchase!!:thumbsup2

Glad to hear you're getting it all worked out Amy :thumbsup2

Sending pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: your way that it moves along
quickly and an early

:welcome: HOME !!!!! :yay:

If you don't mind me asking, what was the error and is it something that others should look out for? :scared1:

It was the final price. I was charged the wrong price per point. It only worked out a $400 difference, but I had already missed out on the Webcast incentives (apparently as I live in the UK, I shouldn't have been able to view the broadcast, let alone receive the incentives!!), so I then didn't want to miss out on the other discount I had been given, as I really would have felt 'hard done by!!':goodvibes!!

Once I spoke to my Guide it was sorted out immediately, just a mix up with the person that drew up the contract was all it turned out to be!!:)

I got our paperwork yesterday and, just like you, had the wrong price listed. Only mine was $10 more per point for a total of $1300:scared1:

I called my guide and he assured me that the price he quoted me was correct and he was going to talk directly to his boss to get everything straightened out and not to worry; so I'm not gonna worry

I just LOVE getting all new DVC paperwork, books and bags in the mail...ahhh..the good life

Hopefully I'll get that same excitement when I get the new paperwork..:lmao:

erasing... :goodvibes seems your issue was resolved. My 2 cents wern't worth it.
