I went to the eye dr. today and I'm trying out those 30-day day/night lenses. Does anyone have them? How are they?

I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and not have to put contacts in.

I had them and liked them, but for some reason I switched to disposables(the 2 week ones). I can't remember having any problems, so who knows why I switched. Just weird I guess.

Funny... my Doctor would NOT let me get those... only the two week ones... which SSB is loving.

Tennis partner told me that SSB was crazy to NOT have contacts, so finally broke down... :)

SSB, my eye doctor took me off the 2 week disposable ones b/c the material is so much thicker than the 30 day ones. So far today these new ones are great. I can't tell they're in at all. If these don't work out I'll go back to 2-week ones, but not B&L ones since their material is so thick.

Do let me know how it goes...

Might try for those next time...!

My dr told me that the 30-day lenses may actually improve my vision because they oxygenate the eyes so much better. I think it may be true because I can't see as well out of my left eye now. I'm hoping to decrease the negative number that it was bumped up to prior to these lenses. I'm just waiting for my 6- month followup appointment.

I've never tried those. I would like to have the focus dailys i think, because it would be nice to just be able to throw them away everynight. I have the two week kind. I take them out everynight. I cant stand sleeping with contacts in!! I wake up and my eyes are soo dry!! I would rather spend the extra 5 mins! I do like my contacts MUCH better than my glasses!! :)

I have the B&L Sequence that you can sleep in but I take them out every day and only wear them for 2 weeks (or sometimes longer if they aren't bothering me yet). I don't feel it's safe to wear contacts 24/hours and I have nothing to back that up but just a gut feeling.

I have had the Focus Night & Day (30 day ones) for about 6 months now. I love them! Before that I wore Acuvue 2 disposables. These are much more comfortable than the Acuvues. But...I don't wear them for 30 days. I wear them for a week, take them out and disinfect them overnight, then wear them for a week again, and so on. After I have worn one pair for 4 weeks, I throw them away and start using a new pair.

The Focus Night & Day are 76% water, while my old Acuvues had only 58% water. I can definitely feel the difference!
