New codes

I received a monthly e-mail from one of the numerous "unofficial" Disney sites that I subscribe to a couple of days ago.
The writer stated that he/she does not believe that Disney will be using many published codes in the future.
The original idea of the codes was so Disney could isolate what source people were getting them from so they could target the audience. With the internet these codes now go all over the world almost as soon as someone sees one.
The writer thought that Disney might continue sending postcards to people on their mailing lists but that these codes would only be available to the names on the postcards. The writer continued that Disney seems to be offering much better package deals the last few months and that might be the direction they are going in. I also read that the last codes came out in April.
Just wanted to pass this on to you and everyone else waiting for codes.
Good Luck.....

Mousesavers.com is saying new codes will be out tomorrow (Tuesday, August 19).

If you're staying at the Poly the first week of January, 2004, please wait until Wednesday to call. ;) My brother is getting married at the Poly then, and we need ten discounted rooms. Thanks for your understanding. I hear the Contemporary is lovely that time of year.

Cheekily,

Len

The information on Mousesavers indicated that a package deal will be released tomorrow. No room only codes are expected.

LOL. lentesta! Are you all wearing grass skirts for the wedding?

Hey Harambe.,

Grass skirts are out. I said it was because my DW would look so hot she'd be a fire hazard. That got me no brownie points, BTW, although I probably shouldn't have laughed at my own sucking up before I said it.

Floral prints are in. We're looking to have the rehearsal dinner at 'Ohana, and the reception dinner at the California Grill. The ceremony is at the Wedding Pavilion.

My brother and his future wife are also Guide researchers, and a lot of the data collection team will be down for the wedding. I don't think the WDW wedding planner suspects anything, but you'd have thought that requesting a specific chef would have tipped her off that they're not the usual clients. Look for a trip report out of this.
