I called yesterday to add a day on the front end of our trip. A little discouraged at the pricing, I asked about codes. There was an expired code on my dad's name (he is going with us), but no codes for me or my sister. The CM said, "I wouldn't worry about getting a code or discount as much as availability at that time. You are more likely to get a code between now and November than to get the exact rooms that you want." So, I probed a little further, and asked if he knew there were discounts coming. He said "just wait until April and check back." He also said that my dad's code for last year expired on Dec 23rd, but included dates from Sept 30-Dec 23rd with no blackout for Thanksgiving. So, I said, a code that even included Thanksgiving is possible, he said "yep." Apparently, Thanksgiving is Peak Season, but not Holiday Season, when it comes to rates. I will keep looking and hoping for the codes! Maybe in April??
