New Code

I saved about $450 on my package for 6 nights...I had to switch from the Poly to the YC because Poly did not give the discount (I had already had a reservation at the Poly for April 25-May 1)...we've never stayed at YC/BC so it'll be a good time to try I hope.

She said that even if they offer free dining that usually they will open it up to Disney Visa holders before the public and she said that most likely will not come until August if it comes.

She also said you only had to reserve the room with your Visa ($200 deposit) that you could use another card to pay for it...I liked this because I get better benefits with my AmEx than with Disney....

My package went from $4990 to $4500 about...hey, it's something! :)

Thanks everyone for the heads up...we really need a financial break on this trip (we've had 2 house payments for 8 months now!! AAGH!)

Thanks!
Tara

HELP!! I just applied for the Disney Visa just so I could get this deal, but now it looks like I can't get it because they don't give you a number. you have to wait until the cards come in the mail. Do you think if I called Disney would be able to look up the number and book it that way. It says you can book online right away, but the deals isn't offered online right? Now what. The only reason I got the card was so I could get this deal!! I'm kind of annoyed now!!

Water parks and free hopper. We went during these dates last year and got 40% off, so a free upgrade doesn't seem that great to me. But, if you were already planning to go then I guess it is better than nothing.

Personally, as a disney visa cardholder, I think we should be offered a better discount.

Thanks, I agree with you. This isn't enough for me to book a vacation. I will keep hoping for the room only discounts.

Yipee! I saved 150.00 dollars on our upcoming April trip to the pop! :cool1: Thank you Stuck in New Jersey! I read your post this am and gave Disney a call!:)

I know for a fact it is not just for visa card holders. I wouldn't post based on what a cm said!

the e-mail I got said it's good ONLY for Visa cardmembers until the public release date of February 21 (Thursday)

Exactly my thinking..I'm not so impressed. Paying full rack rate..no room discount. So the big incentive here is that you get a park hopper and water parks. Big Deal. Doesn't do much for me...we don't do the water parks anyway. We had a 40% discount last year..this doesn't begin to compare.

So, is the only benefit to this discount that you get the water parks free? thanks!!!

You got it:mad: ...I'm not seeing what all the hoopla is about..unless of course you had something booked with park hoppers and water parks included already. While we do like park hoppers..the water parks aren't something we do anyway. I'm more interested in discount off of the room.

It seems as though that the offer this time is only for the tickets - but last time it appeared as though it was a package offer that had the ticket upgrade PLUS 15% off the room rate (the deal offered last October and November for stays from January to mid-March).

IF it had included a room discount as well, its a great offer. This one is nice, but not great. It saves just about $100 per person -

Any experts out there on this new code? My sister and family are going in April. They're doing a split stay onsite/offsite. Would she be able to get 3 nights at a Disney resort and a 7-day MYW ticket with this deal??

I know she can book it at the regular price (I was able to do it online), but just wondering if the free hopper/water parks would work...

TIA

I have a similar dilemma as the last post. We have already booked three nights through renting points at old key west. We are looking to stay an additional 4 nights at another disney resort. We were planning to get a 7 day park hopper with water parks. Would we be able to do this by using the code?:confused3

Hmmm, I'm trying to decide whether to book this or wait for a Florida resident rate.

What is the cancellation policy on a package? And can I apply the ticket towards a season pass?

So many decisions.

Thanks for the code info. We already had our room booked but with base tickets. At least we got the upgrade to the hopper passes. Anything is better than nothing in my opinion.

Wow! Thanks for the code info!! We had already booked 5 days/4 nights in April at POP and had decided to get base tickets also. I called tonight and I was able to get Park Hopper/Water Parks added on for Free!!!! I am very happy:) And you are right---Anything is better than nothing at all!! I'll take it!!:cool1:

Of course today had to be a super busy day for me. I just got off the phone with Disney and the CM said it was sold out for the WL during our time period. :headache: Figures! Nothing like checking and rechecking your email several times a day, checking the disney visa site, mousesavers, etc only to be told it's already sold out! UGH! Sorry, just wanted to vent a little.

As I stated in other posts after this one....I am in Canada. It is available to everyone in Canada in addition to The Disney Visa Holders.

You all made my day! We have an existing reservation at POR, May 2-10, for our family of 5. I called as soon as I read about the code this morning. At first the CM told me that there was no availability at our resort but then suggested she check to see if she could apply the discount to a standard view room (we had booked a waterview). Pixie dust all around, we saved $450!

She then further made my day when she asked if I was interested in the Pirates and Princess Party. I hadn't seen that they had added more dates so I was thrilled. Straight from check in to the P&P Party! Zipity Do Dah. . . .:cloud9:

Thanks for all the great information!

To those of you asking about no. of days for tickets---
When i called yesterday, the CM ran the numbers for my reservations which i already have. We are staying 3 nites at POR and then 4 nites at YC. She suggested i keep one of the reservations at my AAA rate and then have the package at the other. So we kept POR and added a 6 day ticket to the YC stay. So you can use a longer ticket than your stay apparently. My current tickets from Undercover Tourist and my AAA at both resorts turned out to be about the same and since we don't go to the water parks, i just left everything as is.

We booked the code offered last fall for our 3-day trip in March. We were able to purchase a 10-day ticket with the free park hopper/water parks upgrade. (We are returning for a week this October so, in our case, it was a better deal to buy the 10-day ticket with the no-exp option than to buy the base tickets for each trip separately...plus, we now have park hoppers included and the 10 water park visits that don't expire.) So unless something has changed, you should be able to buy up to a 10-day ticket with the ph/wp add-ons with at least a minimum 3-night stay.

We have a res for POP for May 3-11 with a 9 day park hopper. We booked it thru AAA. This morning a got the Disney Chase email with the same code...but I am confused. Can I use the code or not?

You know - theyre starting to tick me off. Theyre offering too many specials which tempt and tease me like a snake in the Garden of Eden.

Ive already put the call into my husband and I have to tell him more details tonight. Wish me luck!!

I JUST GOT BACK January 30th - and am going again Sept 14th. Im sick and demented.
