New Code

We have 4 room only reservations at PO-FQ for 4/5 through 4/12. I called today to try to convert at least one of the ressies to a package with the free upgrade -- was told there is no availability for our dates at PO-FQ. A supervisor tried to override with no success. They said that CBR had availability, but we don't want to stay there.

I'm hoping that there will be some package cancellations in the next few days -- we're almost to the 45 day mark and it's possible some people won't follow through and pay up.

Anyone else have bad luck on this? I'm bummed.
 
So if you use the Disney Visa Code on a mod or deluxe there is no room discount? Is the $512 for a 5 night stay at a value a % off? They should give a better discount to visa cardholders than that! Of course I pay mine off every month so they probably hate me anyway LOL.

This discount is similar to the ticket upgrade offered last October and November for reservations in January to March of this year - both times they were offered to Disney Visa holders and Canadians before the general public.

HOWEVER, that offer also seemed to include a room discount of about 15%. This offer, regardless of resort level, seems to only be on tickets.

That does make some sense, however. The previous offer was for dates that were almost entirely within value season - so a room discount didn't cost Disney that much more. This offer is for dates primarily within regular season, and to offer a room discount as well would "cost" Disney a lot more.

Really, the ticket upgrade ONLY offer is the most economical for Disney. It can entice a lot of people to book when they think there is an extra savings especially if they hadn't originally planned on getting more than base tickets. Many will think that they are getting more for the same price - which is true, but this offer is really best for those who had originally planned on going with Hopper and Water Park add-ons.

Anyway, this is a good offer for those who had planned on getting the ticket add-ons, as it will save about $100/person. It just isn't as good as the previous Ticket Upgrade/Package offer.

Don't feel bad, I live 3.5 hours away, fly from ft. Lauderdale, and was just there the 2-6th. Now, I am "trying" to figure out a good time to go in March AND May!:eek: Talk about sick, my DH is SICK of me going!;) But what he doesn't know won't bother me......:rolleyes1

I think someone posted on here that it was not good for CSR. . . I called last night and they applied it to my existing CSR reservation for May. There is no room discount or anything else. It's just the free upgraded tickets. I had only purchased the base tickets, so my price stayed exactly the same, but now we have Park Hopper, Water Park, & More tickets.

I'm the one who posted it wouldn't work at CSR. That's what they told me when I tried it. Maybe I should try again.

Yes, you should definitely try again! I called the number that came in my e-mail from Chase (407-939-7940), instead of calling the regular number on Disney's website.

I had no problems at all. She didn't even need the code, she knew exactly what I was talking about and just applied it to my existing reservation.
