I just got off of the phone with Gregory at CRO and he applied the new code discount to my reservations saving us another $234.00. Whoo Hoo!! Thank you Dis Board and thank you Mary!! Now to my question.....When we had the AXA code applied they said on our confirmation papers that our balance was due 21 days prior to check-in. I was hoping that this code would take us back to the balance due AT check-in because I have recently heard that the AP's for this time frame won't be released until April 9th. We have to pay in full by the 10th. This did not happen. Gregory said we still have to pay off our balance 21 days prior. Is everyone else being told this too? Is anyone being able to use this new code and pay off your balance at check-in? Sorry this is so long but I'm really dissapointed. Thanks.

Call back and see if you can book it with CRO intead of WDTC. With CRO you pay a deposit (one nights stay) and pay the balance at check in.

WDTC requires a deposit of $200($100 if you are a DC member) and you must pay the balance before arrival.

If they are able to change it, you will have to send in a new deposit to CRO. WDTC will refund your deposit. They are not able to transfere money from one system to another.

Check your confirmation number. If it has 12 digits, then it is through CRO. If not it is with WDTC and you have to abide by their cancellation and deposit requirements.

Try to switch if you can to a reservation from CRO. :):):)

There seems to be some problems with CRO and this 21 days out due. I too got the payment due 21 days out when I used the AXA code. I booked through CRO, not WDTC. The confirmation number is a CRO number too. When I called them on it I was told by a supervisor that all CRO ressies will begin requiring 21 days soon but I didn't have to since they are doing it across the board until April. Well I called last night to add the new code to my existing ressie and was told that the 21 days out can be taken off the CRO ressie with thpush of a button! So the CRO CM took off the 21 day requirement and it remailing my new ressie with the same old confirmation number and new price. Even though they told me before that I didn't have to pay 21 days out I feel better seeing it on paper. So right now you can book through CRO and still get that nasty 21 days out on your ressie papers unless the CM takes it out manually. Unfortunately it looks that it will be a requirement on all new ressies starting in April.

I asked if he was a CRO employee and he said yes he was. My ressies have a 12-digit number because we originally booked through CRO as well. I always ask. They told me that they are handling all room only code discounts as a package now. But unlike WDTC the balance is due 21 days prior and not 45 days. I know that there are people here getting this code that are being allowed to pay off their balances at check-in and that's why I just don't understand this.

Keep calling, explain to them that you have a CRO reservation.

Plenty of people have used this new code and have not been told it is considered a package.

Do you have the option of mini golf, etc. with your res? If you do, then it is considered a package.

Keep calling, make sure you are talking to CRO. Get them to do whatever they have to to get it changed.

I don't know if I would take the risk of cancelling and re-booking because there may not be any rooms left even if you re-book in the same call.

Good luck.

Thanks skiwee1 for clearing this up. I will call back and see if I can find someone who knows where that button is. LoL I was beginning to think I was losing my mind here. I know we are booked through CRO because we have the 12 digit number and we don't have any options like the mini golf or anything like that. Gregory did say we could ignore the payment option but I too want to see it written on paper. I don't want to check-in and have them tell all five of us that we have no rooms because we didn't finish paying them off on time. I told him that too but he still insisted that it couldn't be changed on my confirmation. Thanks vbfamily and everyone for your quick responses and wonderful help.

It sounds like you booked a CRO res. and then when you switched to the AXA code they turned it into a package-they told tons of people the res turned into a package when they used the AXA code.

Then when you switched to CZF it looked like it was still a package. The way I see it is that they should give you the 5 day cancellation policy because that's what everyone else who used the CZF code is getting.

Make sure if you call back ask them to send you a new confirmation letter in the mail with the 5 day cancellation policy if you are able to get it switched over.

Did you add UPH to your reservation? If you add those to a CRO reservation it changes the due date from arrival to 21 days prior.

So far I have talked to two different CM's on the phone and neither one would change it back. They were both very nice but said sorry it just can't be done. One even said that as of April they will all be with the 21 day payment plan. They do say we don't have to abide by it but I'm afraid to do that. We didn't add passes to our ressies because we have been checking out the 10 day world pass at paramount international travel that I read about on the buget board. Do you think I should keep trying or just wait for maybe another code to surface and try then? I read that a good one was suppose to appear at the end of the month but we don't have too much time left with having to pay in full by the 10th of next month. Thanks all.

Okay,

First, I guess one positive is that you were able to get the CZF code applied.

If you absolutely can't get the cancellation policy changed then just plan on paying in full by Apr. 10. If AP rates come out on the 9th-I personally think they will be out before then but I could be wrong. When the AP rates come out and if they are better than the CZF code just have your deposit transferred to the new AP reservation-if indeed they do have to make a new res.

They are able to transfer deposits. I have heard that they have told people no but how can they tell people they are all one unit and then, in the same breath, tell them they can't transfer deposits.

Does this make sense? Wait for AP's, if they are good and you happen to be paid in full then they can use the same deposit and you will have money left over.

That was the exact explanation I got when using the AXA code. I know it is a CRO ressie by my asking for them and by my 12 digit number. I had to keep calling and only got it changed when adding this new current code.

CRO says that they are NOW treating these codes as packages even though they are room only. My room had nothing added. No golf, no tickets, no nothing. It wasn't through TWDC or the DC. It was through CRO. As I said before, this is the way CRO is going to do it April and they are just starting to put in on the CRO ressies. Some CMs will change it but most will not. They changed mine after I called with the new code last night. The CM manually took the 21 days out part out of the ressie per my request.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one this has happened to. I'm glad at least you got to change yours skiwee1. My DH called the third time and we still couldn't find anyone to change it so I guess we're stuck with it this way. As vbfamily posted I don't want to take the chance of cancelling and trying to re-book and loosing out all together. I can only pray the AP's come out very soon so if the discount is really good there will be time to get my refund back if I am already paid in full. Thanks for all your helpful information everyone. I really appreciate it.
