New Character Breakfast

I know Disney announced a new character breakfast last week for late Spring. We are going in May and I'm hoping this will be running by then. I've never been to Disney near the time of a new restaurant opening. Once they start taking reservations, do they announce that morning and then its a mad rush to reserve? Or do they announce when they will start taking reservations and give you a couple days to prepare? I've subscribed to the Disthread about it, but I'm nervous every morning when I wake up that I might have already missed it!

I am checking the website religiously every AM and PM. When do they usually open things up for booking? 8am?

The only time I can remember Disney giving a specific date for bookings to open was Be Our Guest and that caused such a cluster, it crashed the website. My guess is the reservations will one day just appear on the website and the boards will light up like a Christmas tree. I've set dining reservation finder alerts for the breakfast.

Yep, got my finder set for this. Wish you could set a finder for ROL dining package too.
I love having new options this trip, makes planning even more exciting.

You have to sign up for a Touring Plans subscription

I have mine set for this as well.

You don't have to have a Touring Plans subscription to use its reservation finder, you just have to sign up for a basic (free) log-in account.

Mouse Dining is another reservation finder.

Is this at Trattoria al Forno at Boardwalk or a totally new restaurant? In a park or resort?

ADRs at Trattoria are not available for breakfast at all in Aug. Or, anytime after when they are closing the "old" menu for the changeover.

No breakfasts available past March 24 at that restaurant.

Right now, I have an ADR for b-fast at Cape May on May 22 (DCL departure day). I also have a request in but Im hoping to see some more feedback. With only four characters (if they meet in pairs) thats only two character interactions. I like the idea of the royal couples but they almost have to meet individually then include a picture or something where you can meet them both together.
