New CC Magnet!

Was excited when I got my gold magnet after my 2016 summer cruise. Went on my 6th cruise this past January out of Miami, and my magnet was stolen before I left the city . I just don’t get people. When the rest of my family makes gold, their magnets will stay in the house and I’ll just make a vinyl decal.

My parents just got the new gold magnet today. They have not cruised since 2014, when they became gold and got the old oval gold magnet.

We received a platinum magnet today. We sailed our 13th cruise in November - so not very recently - and received our oval Platinum magnet in 2015. No idea why we got the new one, but I was excited to see the DCL mail! I don't trust us not to lose car magnets, so it's staying on our garage door for the moment.

Gosh, hope that means we'll be getting one soon. Seems like most mailings from the Castaway Club - hit or miss, sooner or later......

We have been Platinum since Jan 2016. Our upcoming WBPC Cruise will be number 16. We are looking forward to another Panama Canal cruise on the Wonder for my wife's b-day. We have B2B2B booked on the Magic for this coming Christmas season for my b-day. We really enjoy the Classic Ships!!!!!!!

Wow, never got a magnet. Have done 25 DCL Cruises. After our first or second cruise we got a CD of cruising songs ending with sound of waves. That was in 2005. We have gotten a collection of Castaway Club Art Prints. There are 5 in the collection.

Just got the new Gold magnet today!! We have completed 6 Disney Cruises and had already received the old white one. Hope they send them out to all you other Gold members!!!

So I emailed Guest Relations after our January 2018 cruise (our Gold sailing) about 3 weeks ago and asked about the magnets. I don't know what the normal timeframe for them to arrive is, but we hadn't gotten our Gold magnets yet. The rep said that even though we always book 2 rooms (there are 6 of us) that it's one per address. Which is odd because we both always get the postcards and both got the Silver one years ago.

Anyway, they sent me 2 of the old Gold magnets (the white ovals) as a "one time courtesy." I don't know if we'll get the new Gold ones or not. They're on the cars now!

International folks, I've heard from several people that they can only send magnets to the US and maybe Canada due to mail scanning for security or something like that. I've also been told that if you lose yours, they won't replace it. Although I've had conflicting reports on that too.

I've not seen a new Silver either, I wonder if they updated that one too?

Yay!! Our new Platinum magnet arrived!.

I was curious to see if we even got one. When we made Gold, they sent us 2 of the old magnets (and it was like 2 cruises later, after we made Gold). Then, when we actually made Platinum, we also got 2 magnets.

I have not gotten a new print after any of the last 3 cruises, so maybe that program is over. Disappointing, as I never got all 5.

OK. I'm just back from our 5th cruise. Today I start checking my mail obsessively watching for magnets and art prints! We did not get one of the prints after our last cruise, and I think I became silver before they started sending magnets (2008). I love the prints--hang them up in my office to remind me why I keep this job--to pay for vacation!!!

You get one each time you reach a new level. So you get a silver CC magnet after your first cruise, a gold magnet after your 5th, and a platinum one after your 10th.

I'm one cruise ahead of my DD. I reached gold after our last cruise and received the old style, oval magnet last year. When I first saw this, I was bummed that I wouldn't be getting another magnet for 5 more cruises (although I already have 3 more booked). Then I realized, DD will get the new style magnet after our cruise in May.

We never got a silver but our next cruise will be our 5th, do you think we will get a gold when we get home? Technically at that point we would be gold.

Just received the new magnet for the second and third time. It’s turning into quite the collection!
