That is pretty neat. Much better than the oval white one we got (and subsequently lost in the car wash!). I wonder if I can request one of the new ones...

That's really nice. I wonder if silver-level CC members get one as well. WDW always sends a thank you note/card after you stay with them, so I wonder if this is a new move by DCL. Def a nice touch.

You get one each time you reach a new level. So you get a silver CC magnet after your first cruise, a gold magnet after your 5th, and a platinum one after your 10th.

I'm one cruise ahead of my DD. I reached gold after our last cruise and received the old style, oval magnet last year. When I first saw this, I was bummed that I wouldn't be getting another magnet for 5 more cruises (although I already have 3 more booked). Then I realized, DD will get the new style magnet after our cruise in May.

At the time I called and booked another cruise and they said they only make that offer after the completion of first cruise (this was in 2013). Reason I bring this up is my parents took their first Disney Cruise a few weeks ago. They made the classic rookie mistake of not doing onboard booking but then getting home and wanting to go on another. When they get their silver magnet for completing their first cruise, will they get the 10% off offer or did DCL discontinue that? I called DCL to ask and the CM wasn't sure. Thanks in advance.

The 10% off offer has never been a sure thing. Some people get it. Some people don't.

I never received the Silver magnet or 10% off notice. I did get the white Gold magnet after sailing in August 2017. I just wished it’s gold in colour.

We did our fifth cruise last September and never got our gold magnet. Didn't ever get one of the art postcards when they were doing that a few years ago, either.

We've received the art postcards after each of our first 3 cruises. We just did our 4th cruise earlier this month, waiting to see if we receive anything or not.

Same here....never received silver magnets and just a postcard one time... except for some odd reason they always send my husband's magnets much later and I think he got lucky with the timeline


Hopefully the photo shows how big it is, it's about the same size, if not wider than the older version

I wonder if the Silver magnet will be the same but silver and not gold like the one shown in the photo. I also would be curious to see the difference between silver and platinum's magnets in this new version

We didn't get a magnet for Silver; I don't even know if they had them when we reached that level. Our first magnet was for Gold. We became Platinum after our November 2016 cruise and received that magnet. We have done two more cruises since then, and yesterday we received the new version of the Platinum magnet (which is the same format as above except the colors are swapped--Mickey head area is platinum with black bordering).

If you book thru a travel agent, does the magnet get sent to the TA or to you directly? Our cruise booklet went to my TA so just curious as I haven't received my silver magnet either.

We got our silver magnet in our stateroom on our 2nd cruise. They still do the art postcards (at least as of 2017). I know we received one after our 12/17 cruise. We also received one after each of our previous cruises I think (but maybe just one of those). I don't think we've received one for our 1/18 cruise though.

Interesting about platinum's magnet, ok so then silver will prob just look like the above except it will be silver instead of gold
