New Cast Member

How fantastic! I too have always wanted to have anything to do with Disney but I live in Northern Cali so it's not going to happen. will be ther June 7th-12th

Congratulations!!! We will miss you starting as we are going at the end of this month. I hope your transition into the new job is wonderful! :goodvibes

Congratulations!

You know there is a CM only forum on the boards - you'll be able to post there soon!

Now for the slight downer of being a CM..... I really don't want to burst your excitement, but I want to look out for you.....

The biggest caution I can give you is to please be careful about what information you share with us once you get hired. You will be signing confidentiality clauses in your contracts (yes - they are there in the fine print) and if you leak things publicly on board posts that you aren't supposed to, you will get in trouble. God forbid - we don't want that to happen to you!!!! Albort and the others can tell you that if you think it won't happen and that they wouldn't look at the boards, you would be making a grave mistake. People from Disney read these boards on a regular basis.

That being said - enjoy your new position and making magic for the rest of us!!!!!:wizard:

Thanks for the congratulations and the reminder. Yea I am definitely aware of that for sure. I have worked for several other companies where it was also a big issue. Even if its your friends or people you know, its never worth risking your job!

Congrats to you! Working at the Happiest Place on Earth is a dream job for me, I can only imagine! I'll be sure to look for you in June!

Congrats. I'll put an LGM on my bag for Sept, if you here a slow Aussie accent say hi!:cool1:

I am very happy for you. I think I want to work for Disney too!
:goodvibes I love DL. We will be there in September. D23 expo. I can't wait.

Thanks for all congrats everyone. I am certainly anxious to start. Next Friday I go fill out lots of paperwork and get my cast member id. It should be a fun summer.

You will actually receive your Disneyland Resort Cast Member ID, along with your Disneyland Resort Nametag, during your Traditions Class.

Traditions is the Disneyland Resort's New Hire Orientation programme, inspired by the traditions that Walt Disney lived his life by and which continue to guide The Walt Disney Company and Affiliated Companies today. This class teaches new Disneyland Resort Cast Members about internal operating procedures, as well as instills a respect for the rich heritage of the Disneyland Resort and The Walt Disney Company and Affiliated Companies.

The time and date of this class will be communicated to you when you arrive at the Disneyland Resort Casting Services office to submit your New Hire Paperwork.
