We just got back from our annual summer trip to Hilton Head and WDW. While we were at BWV, they came and changed the sofa bed in our room. The old one was carried out and the new one carried in, in parts. It was assembled on the spot in about 15 minutes, backrest, side arms and seat cushions placed on the frame and screwed on. This bed is different then the one at Saratoga Springs. It opens by pulling down the backrest and folding it with the cushions, down on the floor and under the completely opened bed. It opened and closed very easily - easier then the one at SS which is very nice. My teen slept on it and said it was very comfortable. The seat cushions remain attached and don't lift up like a regular sofa.

Great! Thanks for reporting! :thumbsup2

That is like the sofa in the family suites at the all-stars. If any one what to see pics, head over the allears.net and check out the family suite pictures.

I think this is great and will deal with the issue of where to put the cushions while the bed is open.

I took a couple of pictures with it opened and closed. I will try to get them added to this thread.

Are BCV supposed to be getting these?

I've wondering that as well. Is is just the mattress being replaced or the whole sofa?

It's interesting that they bring the sofa in in pieces and assemble in the room. It certainly makes it much easier to get it into the villa!

We were in a one bedroom, and they replaced it the day we were checking out. LOL. Wish my son could have experienced the new one, but they did leave the frame of the sofa and added in the inner part and new cushions

So, is this sofa sleeper like a futon? Do you actually need to sleep sideways on it? I am confused.

:confused3

Will be trying them out in Oct and DEC.

When we went in March, we got a new one there and I read that they're all getting replaced. :tigger: :mickeyjum

how big are the sofa beds?? Will my 4 and 6 yr olds fit on it together??? and what size beds are in the BWV studios? Are these new sofa beds for the studios?

I don't quite understand, please help... Do the seat cushions become part of the mattress?

Bobbi :confused3
