New Bridget Jones Movie

Hugh Grant has gone on record saying that whilst the new movie, due out on Valentine's Day next year, is both terribly funny and "terribly sad".

I wonder what I'll make of that. Bridget Jones' movies have always had happy endings to them. What will they do to her?

Mark Darcy is indeed dead, and Bridget is left a widow with children to support. That's all I know.

Just a guess, Bridget has to move home with her parents and kids in tow. Her son coming of age and dealing with love. Parents aging and needing more care. It's been the comedy trend lately since a lot of us are the sandwich generation. Dealing with life issues of how to balance it all with love, kids, and aging parents. That's where the sad comes in because it's so relatable. I think she'll still be looking for love. Like the revival And Just Like That with Carrie having to start over and looking for love. No doubt Bridget will tangle with Daniel. That's a given. I did like her with Jack over Darcy. Glad to see Emma Thompson will be back as Dr. Rawlings. She was funny.

Adore the series, wish it would be out in front of Christmas as the Christmas Sweater and Snow Kiss scenes are favorites but any time will be better than none.

I think I've only seen the first 2 movies. I probably should track down any others that exist. I've only ever read the 1st book. I had no idea they were making another one.
