New BLT Owner

We looked at DVC for many years. My wife is a huge fan and frequent DIS visitor(everyday). I love it too. We watched a couple webcasts this past year and made our mind up to jump in after Thanksgiving weekend before price jump. To our good fortune and postings on this board, we learned of the special discount on Black Friday weekend in NY. I drove 2.5 hours and guide told me I was her farthest client for the weekend. With the discount, went with 250 points. So glad we made the move. Having fun every day dreaming about our trip planned for August in a 2 bedroom @ BLT. Bringing my wife, 3 teenage kids, son's girlfriend and SIL. Bought sight unseen because of Location mostly. Was debating BWV resale till special came up. Love the EPCOT resorts. I've stayed at Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin. (Lotusphere conference)

Looking forward to dreaming more of DVC and reflecting on time spent in the magic.

Congratulations and welcome home. Wish you many years of memorable vacations. We have been members since 1995 and haven't regretted a second of our decision to purchace into DVC. We love bringing kids, friends and now grandkids to DW to share vacations. It really feels like home. Oh yeah, it's also great when it's just me and DW too. Best of luck.

We bought last Jan. and have stayed twice and just loved it. It's so nice to be able to walk to MK. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

#1 reason for purchase of BLT was location. My first stay at the World was in DD at Royal Plaza for the Lotusphere conference. I was a late registration for conference and it was the best I could do. The following year we stayed at the Double Tree in DD. We booked a limo from airport and used Disney transportation. You know where this is going...
We did a couple long stays at Poly. Wonderful and first real close accommodations. Watching Wishes from pool was awesome. Kids did the Mickey boats. Spoiled rotten.

For our conference, 5 years in a row, I stayed at Beach Club, Swan or Dolphin. Still think back to the rooms we had at Beach Club where we could walk to end of hall, down stairs and hang a left to the backdoor of EPCOT. Awesome! I love the soft music and quiet stroll to EPCOT.
My wife love's MK and EPCOT. With the opening of BLT, we had a tough choice as we reviewed DVC choices. In the end, buying direct from Disney, short walk to MK and able to watch Wishes from balcony won out.

If things go like most DVCers, our add on choice will be between BC and BWV. I really enjoy this debate between the two properties. The funny thing is that you can't lose with either choice and most reasons seem like splitting hairs. That said, I think my choice will be BWV for add on. I could be convinced otherwise.

CONGRATS!!! We just came back from our first stay at BLT yesterday and LOVED it!!! So much so DH and I both considered an add-on, but the financial picture doesn't work out right now, but maybe in a few years. We own at BWV and HHI which we both really enjoy also. BLT was so great to walk to MK especially in Christmas crowds and monorail to Epcot. We watched WISHES many a night from CR observation deck and TOWL, very cool. Enjoy your purchase!

Welcome home, DVC Dreamer! I love hearing of other couples who are as excited about Disney World as my husband and myself. We have teenagers and grown children, too. You won't regret buying and I'm sure you will be adding on before you know it, just like we did!! Congratulations.

@Tinkerfan1 - We bought two contracts but we have 3 kids. Seems to me we have an issue that will need a resolution in the future, if you know what I mean. This void, I feel, will need to be filled with a third contract in the Boardwalk area. Something to think and dream about in the coming years.
