new blog up!

Hey Dave, I was going to post a comment, but for some reason it's not letting me - I'm having issues today.

So, is this a race you would recommend to a "newcomer" I'm starting the couch to 5K program and I'm thinking this might be a good motivator. Also, any idea what would happen if you couldn't do the challanges - the chest high "wall" to get over sounds a little intimdating.

Robin, this would be a perfect race for a "Newcomer". There are many walkers at Disney races, and they are very accomodating to people of all paces. They really want everyone to have fun and have a good time. If I can get down there this year, I would do this race again with my 11yo Daughter, and we'd be walking a big chunk of it.

The obstacles are not that bad, and you do have the option of going around them if you do not feel comfortable doing them. I can't remember if there was a slight time penalty for going around an obstacle. But hey, we're not worried about winning the thing, right?

Exactly - I may sign up for this, I'm going to give this a week and make sure I'm going to stick with it.
Good luck with your decision Robin. I've found the Disney races to be very motivating to keep training.
