For those who are interested, the latest installment of my blog series for the DIS is up. This time, we visited the Troubadour Tavern (near the Princess Fantasy Faire). To read it, click here. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing - the potatoe looks good and sounds good.

Oh yay! Great review! I can't wait to try this place for myself. The baked potatoes are calling to me. And thanks for letting us know about your latest blog post. Maybe you could continue to let us know when you've posted a new review? I don't look at the blogs very often but I want to read all your restaurant reviews as you eat your way around DLR so I would love to have reminders. :goodvibes

I'm glad to see this review...the food looks really good and you're right, so nice to see something besides hamburges/chicken nuggets :)

Great review ~ I'm sure DS would love this place! I noticed it when we most recently waited in line to visit with some princesses (early Dec. 09) but didn't take a closer look.

I am a little confused about the emphasis on getting something other than burgers......as far as i know only two places even offer burgers(tomorrowland terrace and hungry bear?) I know my family hasn't eaten a burger at DL since the year DCA opened. I enjoyed the article but it stood alone without the need to paint the DLR food scene as "burger heavy".

Okay, we tried this place last saturday and we really liked it too! I had the BBQ chicken potato and DH had the "regular" potato with sour cream, bacon, etc. I would definitely eat there again. My only complaint would be that they don't have tap water available. The CM said they got rid of the tap water when the re-did the place. They did have a sink back there but i guess it's not suitable for drinking water. So we got 2 cups of ice and added our own water. But besides the water issue, we really liked it.

Can you see the stage form the seating area?

You can see the stage but there was nothing going on there. The princesses are actually just on the other side of the wall from where some of the seating is and I was able to see a little bit of Aurora if I stood up tall.

That seems so strange about the water. Don't most ice/soda machines have the little water lever on the sprite or lemonade??? Seems to me I haven't ever really seen a soda machine without that???

Good to know that there is a place to get a brat. DH and DS13 love brats. Wait, so do the DS7 and DS5 - this could be a great place for us to go. I love baked potatoes and they love brats. Win/Win! ;)

Little bit of crown peeking over the wall?:)

 I could see her face too. There was a little ledge on the wall that a few people stood on to get a better peek but I didn't do that. Peter Pan came over and was peeking over the wall though.

Yeah, i thought the water issue was strange too. Good point about the soda machine but i guess their's doesn't have a water lever? :confused3 Or maybe that CM doesn't know about it? Next time we go I'll have to ask again for water and see if i get the same response.

I agree that the brats should be grilled...I'm sure they taste great, but the "boiled" look is somewhat unappetizing.

The traditional baked potato looks delicious! $6.29 seems a bit steep for a potato though...is it big enough to make a meal out of?

That's why DH didn't get the brat. He wanted to try it but they looked funny being boiled. He'll probably try it next time though.

That price does seem like a lot for a potato but it is DL so it's not going to be "real world" prices. I wanted to try the corn but couldn't get over the $4+ price tag on it. I thought the potato was worth it though since I felt like i was eating real food and not something fried. I got the BBQ chicken one so that it seemed more like a complete meal and not like a side dish. The potatoes were pretty big but not huge like the ones at Claim Jumper. They had generous toppings on them. DH and I were full but not stuffed. It seemed like enough for us to have at lunch but we did end up sharing a snack later.
