These are troubled economic times and just about everyone is looking for a bailout. I have a plan that can help everyone! Let's make the bailout universal. That's right, we all need money, so let's help everyone.
First, we don't want to cause more harm with the plan. One of the problems that America faces is that we've borrowed too much money, as individuals, states, and our national government. Let's not make the problem worse by borrowing even more money for the bailout.
We also want to be careful not to hurt anyone with the bailout. It wouldn't do to bailout the housing industry by raising taxes on the auto industry, or vice-versa.
We also want to make this fair. We shouldn't be giving some people's money to other people. Each person's bailout should be limited to how much they are willing to contribute.
So here's the plan. Decide how much you can afford to give to the bailout program. Give generously, because you are really helping yourself here. You should even feel free to borrow money if truly necessary because you can always pay it back with the bailout. When you've decided how much you can afford, send all of that money to yourself. Now you've been bailed out without hurting anyone else. Enjoy your bailout. And quit asking for more of my money...I need it for my bailout.
