Neither is ''officially'' opening until 5/5/05 for the 50th celebration, however, there have been showings, due to the ''soft'' openings. I don't believe they are put on the schedule though. Maybe someone that has seen either/both will chime in and let us know how they are working this.
I have another question....is wishes moving to Disneyland? If so, when? What about soft openings for Soarin? Does anyone have a clue as to soft openings for soarin and the new stunt show? We are going to be there April 3rd for the day.
I was at MGM lastweek and caught the new stunt spectacular. They are doing a soft opening right now and giving out fast passes....The show was excellent but long, 45+ minutes....
Soarin is "soft open" right now. Which means, yes, the official entrance is boarded up, BUT if you go around the corner and see a line, get in it! It's not garunteed to be open until sometime in May I think.
We were at MGM on Sat. 3/26 and the Stunt show was running what they called a dress rehersal. DS had seen a commerial for it and begged us to go find it to see if it was open. We hit the last show of the day (I think it was during the 4:00pm hour).
The show was a bit long, but DS (age 12) loved it! Lost of car chases, jumps and surprises. I took some pictures, but am not sure if I can post them or where I can.
If anyone can tell me, I will share them.
If you sit low with a child, they may pick them to "help" them run one of the cars. Personally, it was a cute joke, but I worry it could really upset some kids who think they "messed up" helping. I don't want to say more, and give it away. The picked a boy who looked about 6 and he was shocked when things did work like he thought the would. I know it would have upset my DD, age 7.
