We are going to WDW (new Villas at the Wilderness Lodge) 11/21 - 11/24/2001. Our annual trip is usually the month of February (Mardi Gras in New Orleans). Since this will be our (Dad, Mom and a 13yr old girl) first Thanksgiving in WDW, we would welcome ANY suggestions on getting the most out of our short stay (we usually stay Sat - Sat). We want to experience the Disney Holiday season - especially the changing to Christmas. We have planned so far a Hoop Dee Doo night (Wed 11/21) and a Thanksgiving dinner (Contemporary's California Grill 12 noon).:pinkbounc

Welcome to DIS!

IIRC, Christmas decorations go up right after Thanksgiving, so you'll be able to enjoy those. I think the Candlelight Processional starts on 11/23 ... book the dinner package if you have the $$.

I've heard that Thanksgiving week can be busy. If you want to "Make the Most" out of your stay, I'd do Early Entry, come back for a mid-afternoon rest, and go back to the parks. This depends on the park hours, of course :).

Hi yesdisneyfool and WELCOME TO THE DIS!!! :)
We ALL were new to "this posting thing" once too! And if you are at all like me, you soon will be addicted! :D
Be sure to visit ALL of our Trip Planning Boards! There is a drop down menu at the bottom of this page. You would probably want to start with Theme Park Attractions and Strategies. Then you may want to take a look at Disney Restaurants. If you are looking to save money on your trip be sure to visit the Budget Board. Then you may want to try one of our "Just for Fun Boards" - the Community and Collectors Board are fun ones to try.
The best way to get information is to post specific questions on the correct board. That way your question won't get "lost."
Again, WELCOME!!! I am sure that by the time that you go in November, you will no longer be "new to this posting thing!" :D
