Probably not since they are non refundable tickets. However if you plan to activate them during the promotional period (before 1/3/17) there are several reports of Disney giving the 13 month pass to everyone even if it was purchased before 10/2. Sunday @ravenclawtrekkie (who works at WDW ticketing) posted on the theme park board that at least initially that is how it was being handled at Epcot. Others have confirmed receiving 13 months or contacting guest services and being told they'd be given the extra month if the pass was activated by 1/3

ok thanks for the info i wont activate until april so its a mute point for me!

Well you could call and ask then. All they can do is say no

We renewed our passes in august and received our ap exchange certificates, and have held the exchange certificates since that day. When we went to the park today (day our passes expired) and activated the exchange certificate we received 13 months of renewal benefit.

Great news! I'm in the same position as you-bought the voucher in August, will activate it in a few weeks. Based on your experience, 13 months may be in my future.

Hate to say this....

Really? What are you going to do with a 13th month? Most APs have their timing down, and and extra "month" is very likely to be of zero value.
Of far MORE value - I have not seen an AP price increase.... yet. Let's see what happens :).

Well we personally prefer to go in later October but were going to go Columbus Day weekend next year to get in an extra trip with this year's AP. This will let us go later (with lower crowds hopefully) without having to renew to do so. The lack of price hike is also welcome. I suspect they will raise it after his promotion ends. Perhaps they are looking to raise it again when regular tickets go up again next year?

We like to go between Oct and Dec. The 13 months give added flexibility and would likely require one less renewal or if not renewal then one less AP purchase. I believe there are quite a few DVC owners that have flexibility to make use of this. For those that would like to go closer to 12 months apart it will actually work perfectly vs needing to go earlier the second year.

We just purchased ours last week(vouchers)and will be activating them in Dec. For us, the extension of 1 month is a plus. At least it gives us the option of going back in Dec same time.

We go Thanksgiving week and don't get AP's because of the dates, we will upgrade to them this year so we can use the tix for next November as well.

Oh my gosh! How did I miss this? We just bought our vouchers to activate 10/31 and now planning next year we're bummed to travel on Columbus Day....now we can Halloween or thanksgiving! I need to read up on this!!!

I normally only go once per year, for our annual "spring" break---I don't get to choose the date, so I can't normally squeeze the second trip within a year of the first, so a 12-month AP was useless. A 13-month AP is very useful for me. In the infrequent years I have extra trips planned, I'll get an AP, but I don't usually.

So, YMMV, but this is a nice thing from where I'm sitting.

I was clearly wrong.... for a NUMBER of folks that attend on a yearly basis? The 13 month AP is a good deal :). Does nothing for us - but that is BESIDE the point :).

I have 5 days passes I bought that I planned to upgrade to AP's when we went this weekend...not going any longer because of hurricane..but we are now doing December. Will I be able to upgrade these then and end up with a 13 month pass? If so that would be really really nice!

Yes. The offer is going thru Jan 3rd.

Are we completely sure that we get 13 months rather than 12 when we RENEW our annual pass. Is a renewal considered a "new pass purchase"?
If we can get 13 month renewal on our pass, we will renew. I tried to call MS but with Matthew making things crazy, I couldn't get through today.
Thanks for your help!

If I purchase mine, but do not activate until 1/20... will I still get the 13 months?

Yes, if you purchase during the promotion window (by Jan 3rd I think?), you will get the 13 months as long as you redeem your voucher within 18 months of the promotion beginning (10/1).

I purchased my AP on 9/29 and then activated on 9/30. Went to MNSSHP on Thurs, and then Epcot on Friday. Had I known that if I had waited till Monday to Activate my AP that I would have gotten an extra month I certainly would have waited. In my case I was planning to come back in September of 2017 for food and wine just before my pass expired. If I get an extra month, then I don't have to go as early. I tried to call on Sat 10/8 and there was a 2 hour wait. lol! So I'll wait a few days after the Hurricane madness dies down, and ask them to honor the promo for me. I would hope that there is some latitude for those of us that missed this promo by mere hours. If I missed it by weeks I wouldn't even be posing the question. I'll let you know what they say.
