I convinced my husband we would save a lot by getting APs and doing the next two year's vacations in Disney!! We purchased them at AAA and will activate them at our next trip starting 11/18. How and when would we start getting pin codes/discounted rates fo rooms as AP holders? What kind of rate discount should we expect and does it change by season?

There is a passholder website, you could log into, once you activate and have the AP's in your hands. Not sure if they email you PINS or you have to go on the website to get the codes. Maybe someone else could answer that...We just got our first AP's this past July! GL:thumbsup2

just curious what the APs cost at AAA?

also considering APs and hoping a discount will make up for the additional cost over a MYW/PH. :goodvibes

Hi,
We bought earlier this year when on vacation in Marco Island at a AAA branch. We spent $1941.71 for 3 adults & 1 child.

Here's what I just found on their website:

Non-FL Resident - Annual Pass - Adult

Retail Price: AAA Member Price: AAA members save:
$499.00 $481.99 $17.01

Tickets available at Florida, Georgia and Tennessee AAA Branches or on-line at aaa.com.

Valid for unlimited park hopping to all 4 Parks (no blackout dates). Parking is included; however, on the first visit, a parking fee is charged. Go to Guest Relations on first visit with first day parking receipt for refund when processing the Exchange Certificate for actual pass. Pass is valid for 365 days from the first date of visit.

Non-FL Resident - Annual Pass - Child - age 3-9

Retail Price: AAA Member Price: AAA members save:
$450.00 $433.99 $16.01

Tickets available at Florida, Georgia and Tennessee AAA Branches or on-line at aaa.com.

Pass is also valid for seasonal entertainment, and savings on selected Disney Resort hotels and special events, Disney`s transport system, monorails, ferryboats and buses.

Hope this helps! I'm thrilled to get a couple of trips in this year!

I paid the rack rate on the AP's and I paid $2022.00 (I forget the change part) for 3 adults and one child. It's not that big of a savings, I would have thought it would be more of a discount!?

Only the Southern Region AAAs sell APs.

You can, however, buy MYW tickets at a discount from someone like Undercover Tourist, use the tickets at least once to get into a park, and then upgrade to an AP. You'll get the full gate price of the UT ticket, even though you didn't pay the full gate price.

You can book at the AP discount without actually having the AP. You have to have it upon checkin only. The only AP discount I have seen was the 10% off given if you had a Pass along card (May-July 2009). They also had a 15 month timeframe given for renewals as well for a year.

Great information! I guess the AAA rate for AP wasn't that great after taxes, but I do have a full year of Disney ahead!

If you have the vouchers you can log into Disney's passholder site (link is typically near the top of the page)

we do 2 years on 1 pass by going a little earlier the 2nd year
