new and overwhelmed

good morning everybody! My name is Lisa and I am planning a trip to Disney World oct 2011. I'm so overwhelmed in planning this trip that I'm anxious to get started asking everything so I can find some direction! I am having my 3rd baby in June and have an offer to leave her/him at home with mom. Big decision.. I look forward to speaking with you all.. Do we have any other Ohioans in here?

We're in Hubbard, Ohio, 7 miles from the Pa. boarder. We're Amtrak travelers to WDW, I won't fly. We've done 43 trips to WDW so far and are headed down this late fall for trip 44 and taking our new grand daughter ( she'll be 11 months then) and couldn't imagine a trip with our children or grand children. We're empty nesters now but always seem to snag someone whether a relative or one of our grown children to venture along with us to WDW. This trip we're driving.....seems to be alot of stuff (to a degree) for granddaughter and since we'll be 4 adults, driving chores will be short.......about a 16 hour drive and we're going to do 2 nights on the ocean before heading to WDW for our first stay at Old Key West 2 bedroom villa. We're so excited to see the baby's first glimpse of the MK.....we took her mother for her first visit when she was 15 months way back when.

Hey, take mom along and let her share in the magic along with your new baby....seeing the magic thru the eyes of a child are priceless. However you do it, have a great trip!!

We blow thru that area RT77 south to 71 headed to Columbus, that's where our children reside now, love the Canal Fulton area. When my parents were living, they always came along on our trips, in 1977, our first trip, my father got discount from Disney from US Steel and we became Magic Kingdom Club members and we all made that initial trip together, our son was 5. My mother ourlived my dad and even in her 80's, always wanted to go to Disney with us, we made many a trip together until she passed and she was thrilled to be included on our trips. You can PM me for anything........we're Disney fanatics and know how to make a trip to WDW economical, relaxing and fun and like I said..we taken many a trip to WDW via Amtrak.......best way to go in our book...my mother loved the train. Hoping to hear from you in the future.....jim

We're from Ohio too! No kiddos yet, but we're hoping to start next year . After our Disney trip of course. We figure one more time together before we take kids. I've found SO many answers here and great advice. Hope you find it just as helpful!

I saw your title and thought, "that's me".... I am also new and overwhelmed!!! We are taking our first trip as a family next June and feel like I am running out of time to get in on all the reservations....

I live in Hermitage, PA....which is only 5 miles from OH.... Hopefully, we'll both find what we are looking for along the way...

BTW, Jim....we are right next door neighbors and I am amazed at how many times you have been to Disney... This will be my husband's first trip, but I went a few times growing up and then lived in Tampa for a number of years. Disney is not totally new to me, but now that I have 2 children (5 and 3) I have a tough task ahead of me to make sure that I do this right for them...

I am in your same situation, but I can tell you these people on here are a HUGE help!!!! They have made some decisions very easy!!! We are planing our first trip December 2011.

I am very overwhelmed and want to make this the best vacation ever!! My DD will be almost 3 and I cant wait to see her face! I am in LA so im not really near you guys but I think thats the cool part about the boards!!!
