new and full of ???

Hey, I am new to all this! But I have lost of questions to get answered before our sept. (yeh, I got free dining) trip. I had already booked everything and was thrilled to read the other night (on dis board) about the special. So I made a quick call and added it on!!!!
So with my first of many questions is it hard to find the restaurants included in the dining package? I really want to wow the kids any suggestions on great kid (boys) places to eat and what time of day?

First, welcome to the DIS! You'll find that everyone here is quite helpful!

As for restaurants, my brothers and I never frequented what we considered the "girlie" restaurants like Cinderella's Castle, so, here's a list of what we liked when we were younger.

-Liberty Tree Tavern - in Magic Kingdom - character dinner
-EPCOT - Italy's restuarant is good and as we got older we like France and Canada
-Sci-Fi Dine-in and 50s Prime Time Cafe - Nowadays, we don't care for Sci-Fi (just burgers and the like), but for ages 12 and down, they would get a kick out of eating in cars; 50s Prime is good. The waiters make you feel like they're part of the family and aren't afraid to force adults to eat all their vegetables
-Rainforest Cafe - Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney - fun atmosphere and we really like the food.

Eating lunch at all the above restaurants is good - less crowded, easier to get ressies, and cheaper. However, since you're part of the dining plan, you probably don't have to worry about food (but I'm not familiar with the plan...I'm sure others are).

Check out www.allearsnet.com . They list all the restuarants in all the parks and hotels and also have all the menus. That's a very helpful site.

You may want to post your question on the restaurant board. Those folks there know their food!
