Hello!
I have been reading the forum for awhile and getting lots of good info! Also good to see how excited others are for their Disney trips.
I myself stayed on Disney property about 10 yrs ago, some family friends took me along as a babysitter and we stayed at the Yacht Club. Since then I have never forgotten the feeling I had while staying on Disney property, it was amazing and the best vacation I have been on that I can remember. The ease of traveling on the bus, monorail, and boat, being able to travel to any park at any time visiting multiple parks a day just because I could. The milkshakes from Beaches and Cream I had every day before I went swimming, the list just goes on and on!!
So now that I am older, have a job and able I am taking my 6 yr old nephew and Sister to Disney in June for 6 days and staying at AKL (My mini Africa trip). I have taken my nephew to AK twice along with MK, my sister has been to only MK. I am extremely excited to share the experience with them and count down the days on my calendar at work, like the true nerd I am. My sister knows that I will be taking them as I have been planning and saving since last October, my nephew on the other hand has no idea. He absolutely loves Florida and Disney World and always asks to go back to visit, if only he knew what was coming up! I cant wait to see the look on his face when we pull up to the hotel and tell him that we get to live at Disney for a week.
Now that I have splurged on the introduction I just wanted to say it is nice seeing another group of Disney fans out there! I have one question though since this is my first planning of a Disney trip. Does Disney send any type of Vacation Packet once you have paid? I paid the full payment about a month ago but was just curious if anything was sent in advance of the trip. Also has anyone ever been on the Wild Africa Trek? My sister and I have reservations but I have heard it will be changing in June somewhat, any details?
