Note: Al Lutz does not work for Disney. His posts are not Disney announcements. He has solid contacts inside Disney and is helpful in giving an indication of what Disney is planning and considering. People planning vacations should be very cautious about making plans based on Al's articles. That is not what they are intended for. Rather, Al tries to give an insider view of what Disney is thinking and planning for those interested in what the future may hold. This can and does change over time.

Here is the disclaimer that Al has at the end of his article.

Keep in mind updates only get posted when there is something to report on, and not before. It takes time to confirm things, and even then we can only offer a snapshot of a continually evolving story. (People do change their minds you know.) Just like the happiest place on earth, patience is a virtue; the queue may take a while before you can enjoy the attraction.

Wow! A possible July 4th version of WoC? I never even considered that - although it makes perfect sense, really. I was mainly thinking about the possibilities of future Halloween and Christmas World of Color shows. I skipped over July 4th in my mind entirely! That is really a good idea, though. And if they do the July 4th version first, hopefully the other versions will not be far behind.

Well crud... I see that Goofy's Sky School is delayed. I'll have to put that on the list along with the Matterhorn: "DLR Attractions I Will Not Experience but Thought I Thought Surely I Would Because I Chose to Go in the Expensive Summer"

"World of Color won’t get a movie-themed encore this summer."

Oops. Last night the folks who got into the Little Mermaid Meet Up were treated to a WOC that featured an extended Little Mermaid scene as well as a new Pirates scene.

So just a little reminder that Al doesn't always get it right, although he does get insider information at times. ;)

I had been wonding what was taking AL so long to post this article. I guess he should not of waited until half of his post has already been a week or two old news.

Just wondering about what Al posted about LM Grand Opening on Thursday June 2nd? And at a odd hour- 3:30 pm- So is this really true? What happens at a Grand Opening ceremony? What time should we be there? And why hasn't it been announced anywhere else that it was opening on Thursday instead of on Friday? Please help me!

I stayed at the Villas at GC last week and they were testing the cars on Goofy's Sky School after park closing, our room was above it. They seemed to be running fine. I think the issue is they are still doing construction around it, plus painting.

It is most likely just for the press. Regular guests will have access on June 3.

Thanks! Wow a lot has be done to Carsland since I was last there in March! I know it's just a small picture but it's so cool to see the rock actually looking like rock now!
I am even more excited for ST2, it's been soooo long since I rode the original version.

Nice to hear that recognizing the genius of Walt Disney is no longer out of fashion among the management folk.
