New addition to the DIS!!!! What a cool feature.

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new area to the DIS. The DIS Photo Gallery will allow our visitors to upload thier photos and share them with the rest of the site. The format is somewhat similar to the forums we use here, so everyone should find it very easy to use. There are some additional guidelines for the Photo Gallery (they are outlined when you register). Unfortunately, I was not able to attach the registration engine for the Photo Gallery to the forums registration engine, so you will have to register seperately to use that site. Each account is limited to 1MB of space for pictures (site sponsors receive 10MB, and should indicate in thier sponsor status in the Biography field during registration). Until we see just how popular this new area becomes, we will need to be fairly strict in enforcing the space limitations. If someone really needs extra space, they should email me directly at webmaster@wdwinfo.com

PatrickIL will be the admin for this new area, and will have expert help from our editros ABCMom, brisully, Debi, Glo, Marla Hellwig, Mary Jo, MrJCricket, obi-wan pinobi, snuggles, SueEllen and Trekker.

Can we download pics there like we would to , say, imagestation and then link them here to the garden forum?

Since they are both wdwinfo sites, does the "hotlinking" rule apply to the Dis boards?? I was thinking it would be wrong if I hotlinked a picture from the photo site to say another Vbulletin board?

Ok Vanessa...linking or hot linking within the site..meaning from our Photo Gallery to a post on OUR DIS Site is permitted. Hot linking to any other site is not. I am not familiar with imaginestation, but being a Site Sponsor you are allowed up to 10 MB of space in our Photo Gallery for you photo uploads which you are displaying. I hope this answers your questions
