New add on points not bankable?

We r in the process of adding on points. Have not signed the contract yet.
The points already r showing up in our account (2011 points) , but they r not showing up as bankable.
Do u think they will show as bankable after the contract is signed?
Or do I need to scramble to plan a quick getaway before the UY is up?

If you are past the banking window, and are buying direct from Disney, tell your guide that the points must be banked. Generally Member Services has allowed points purchased directly from Disney to be banked, even if the banking window has expired.

And if the guide says it's too late to do that, rescind the purchase and start over, making banking of the points a condition of the sale. You have 10 days after signing the sales agreement to rescind with no penalty, so it's an easy way to deal with issues like this.

Yes. It is possible they are showing up like that online because you have not yet closed. I know when I added on last year, in August (June UY), the points showed like that until about a month later. I assumed it coincided with the actual closing of the contract.

I had no problem banking online after that.

We bought on our cruise in June, and our points never did show up online as being bankable. I called MS, and they did bank them for us. They really didn't know why I couldn't see them as such on the website. However, once I banked them, I was able to see them in my points summary section on the site. I had some points transferred in to me as well, and they don't show. I didn't realize they wouldn't show online, but MS said they wouldn't, so I did have them go ahead and bank them for me. Just thought it might ease your mind a bit to know that my points weren't showing as being able to be banked either. I don't really care for the member's site for DVC. I find it confusing.
